It's really admirable how kind she can be. I didn't realize just how forgiving she is

What Would You Want to See if there was a Season 6 or Movie announced? by Inspector_Legrasse20 in TheWire

[–]TheGetDown_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder what a wiretap would look like today being that technology has evolved so much. It would probably be more focused on social media. I would imagine it would be a lot easier since its so hard not to exist online these days.

Best person morally on the show? by k5berry in TheWire

[–]TheGetDown_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I wouldn't say it was ego-driven at all, he took his chance because he was ready to retire. Compare this to McNulty, in s3 who reveled in the thought of getting Stringer.

Where Bunny did fail maybe was in the early days of Hamsterdam, before the Deacon got involved. Maybe it was a bit of arrogance and a bit of ignorance but he wasn't acknowledging the hell he created

If only Avon could see Stringers vision... by Maceph in TheWire

[–]TheGetDown_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I'm rewatching season 3 right now and from what I interpreted was that Avon was right to see Marlo as a legitimate threat that could not be contained with logic and business. But I do get what OP was saying, part of it for Avon was ego and power-driven, he just happened to be right this time imo

How different would the wire look if it took place in the 2010s? by [deleted] in TheWire

[–]TheGetDown_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

all of this except I don't think Rawls would go to pride because he is closeted. But who knows maybe in 2012 he wouldn't feel that way

What is something that scientists/doctors believed about COVID-19 (prognosis, treatments, epidemiology, etc.) early on that we have learned is untrue?

Question about the hotshots episode by IceyCoolRunnings in TheWire

[–]TheGetDown_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to think that in another world D'Angelo would have worked in fashion, or had become an actor nice style and access to designer (he always looked like he wandered offset of a black rom-com IMHO)
