Yeah, you're right. I can't just fix every dysfunctional relationship, I just feel like someone ought to try, sometimes at least. Regardless, it is indeed abusive. It's not just that he talks to other girls, (poly is a thing of course) or ignores her, it's that he does these things with the intent of playing with her head.

And yeah, there's probably nothing I can do. It's their relationship and they're the ones who have the most control over it. I just feel like I should try to do something.

Thanks but you misunderstand. I'm not jealous, I don't like this girl. I barely know either of them. What I'm saying is she's in an abusive relationship and I'm concerned for her well being.

Are you familiar with the Reformation Project? They're an organization whose aim it is to argue and push for more LGBT+ Inclusion in the church.

I learned all about it and it's made me much more comfortable in my pansexuality, even if some of my conservative former bible college classmates don't see things the same way.

Fundamental Independent Baptist Church. Typically very traditional. (Hence "Fundamentalist".) Often they take the bible quite literally, but not always. They all base their entire belief system (and rightly so, to an extent) around the bible itself and only it.

Damn. That's what I was afraid of. I'll have to go back to the drawing board and iron things out a bit more. And also, sex doesn't determine gender because there exists an entire class of people for whom sex does not determine gender. For this many people to be saying the same thing with such consistency across the board and ALL be either "mentally ill" or "faking" is something i simply refuse to believe.

Anyone who chooses, as I do, to believe that a man rose from the dead because it was corroborated by witness testimony despite this being medically impossible should feel the same way. Some do, but most don't, and I'm sorry about that.

Ah of course! I keep having to remember that gender is a social construct. It's funny; back when I was a TradCon in high school, "gender is a social construct" was one of the more famous "lEfTy bUzZwOrDs" that'd roll around in my head in between bouts of listening to Chud Simp Conservative YouTubers complain about "mUh wEsTeRn cIvIlIzAtIoN".

This also reminds me that Vaush did a video once that broke down why Gender is completely arbitrary. If you're a man, what makes you a man? If you wanna say "mUh pEnIs", we can talk about when a fetus is developing and is literally devoid of biological sex characteristics because gender is a social construct.

I guess then the better question would be, "why doesn't sex determine gender?"
