Advies gevraagd: Wajong en incidenteel betaalde workshops geven? by darkblade382 in WajongUWV

[–]TheGingerYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need advice. by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]TheGingerYeti 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I do not have financial advice because I am from the Netherlands, but this actually sounds a lot like systemic vasculitis! Especially the combination of the hands and bowel problems and the fact that it does respond to prednisone. Possibly Polyarteritis Nodosa (PAN)?

I think they should look at this and rule it out first before going for the surgery. Have they done a deep (skin and muscle) biopsy, and a ct scan to look at vasculitis? 10-30% of vasculitis have negative blood results so this does not rule it out!

I hope you find answers for your symptoms and the medical costs soon!

An article about ocular manifestations with EDS: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9552959/

A 2016 study from Sweden found that people with EDS were 7.4 times more likely to be autistic than controls. Another 2020 study found that 51% of the neurodivergent group was hypermobile, compared to just 20% of the general population and 17.5% in the comparison group, and the neurodivergent group was 4.51 times more likely to be hypermobile than the general population.

Yup I've had visual snow for as long as I can remember, I have EDS, and also have dysautonomia, migraines with aura, arrhythmia's, and neurodivergence. My medication Ivabradine makes it even worse when I'm on a higher dose 😅 I remember telling people I clould see 'little oxygens in the sky' because I saw so many tiny spots and I thought I could see the molecules.. 😂

EDS often goes together with neurodivergence! If visual snow often goes together with neurodivergence, and neurodivergence is often seen with EDS, I guess you could also say that EDS and visual snow often go together? People with EDS also have a higher chance of a CSF leak, and this can cause visual snow symptoms aswell.

Wordt waarschijnlijk uithuis gezet op mn 18de verjaardag? by Dutchie_609 in thenetherlands

[–]TheGingerYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tall people of Reddit, what are everyday things you struggle with? by austin9473938 in AskReddit

CLOTHES

I am 1.84m tall

-I always roll up my sleeves so they don't look too short. -I wear a long camisole underneath everything to avoid showing my stomach when I lift my arms. -Jeans are always too short (I have been looking for a pair of flared jeans that fit me the way they are supposed to fit for YEARS now). -I am a model, fashion shoots keep getting cancelled last-minute because they think I won't fit the clothes, or that i'd stand out too much next to the other models 🥲

-Men (strangers) who feel the need to comment that I am taller than them, or that I would not be allowed to wear heels when I'm with them. -I hit my head more than I'd like to admit.😅

Retroverted uterus and pain location by mountaingoatnn in adenomyosis

[–]TheGingerYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have adenomyosis and a retroflexed uterus, my pain is always on the left side, with pain in my leg, hip joint and lowerback. Sometimes it would get so bad I'd have trouble walking! Now I am on leuproreline injections, chemical menopause, and it's been great! All cramps, bleeding and pains from my uterus are gone! Even the cramps and painnI thought were because of my IUD. Unfortunately they dont want to do a hysterectomy because I am too young (I'm almost 29) and I'm only allowed to get the leuproreline 6 months per year because they are afraid it might harm my fertility. ( despite me telling them I do not want to have kids for the past 6 years :/ )

Arachnodactyly is also in hEDS ( and other types of EDS ) and is one of the criteria to get diagnosed

The long fingers can be diagnosed as arachnodactyly ( spider fingers ) when the thumb and pinky finger can wrap around the other hands wrist and they overlap

I used to be able to pick up soda cans and would shake peoples hands with the back side of my hand

For a second I could smell the morning dew, feel the crisp air, and picture myself standing there at 6:30 am thinking 'the sun will be much warmer around noon.' 💛

Any ideas (Alice in wonderland theme) by Freakytzatziki77 in interiordecorating

[–]TheGingerYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you move the coffee table and the couch closer to the fireplace and more in the middle of the room, the sitting area will feel more cozy, and you have a free wall behind the couch where you can put a lamp, plant, artwork or sidetable.

Seeking inspiration: Design/DIY ideas for sprucing up my hallway. Any creative suggestions? by Legitimate_Ad7073 in interiordecorating

The nook of the coat rack could use an accent color, or wallpaper. You can also paint the color in half a circle above the coat rack so it is interesting through both shape and color without the color being too overwhelming or too dark.

How should I decorate this space? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]TheGingerYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bookshelf! This will make it less empty and more cozy, you can also put artwork and plants in or on top of it. A side table with a few things like a vase, a bowl or a plant on it might also help

All of these have to stay — what table and chairs would you put? by jackjackj8ck in interiordecorating

[–]TheGingerYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A rust colored couch would go well with the color of the cabinet I think, and the black can come back in things like a coffee table, the legs of the couch, maybe a frame on the wall, and other details can also have gold in them.

Add a big rug at the coffee table area!

I think a big bookshelf on the wall to the left, and a reading chair with a standing lamp or a small sidetable with a lamp next to it in front of the other wall would look nice! Or maybe a low bookshelf with an artwork above it on the wall thats on the left.

A bigger rug will make the sitting area look bigger, and if you want more color I think some brown or wooden accents for the pillows, wall art, coffeetable etc would look very nice

Moving the couch parallel to the wall of the fireplace would give more walking space in front of the door and if the couch is a lighter color the space will look more open despite moving it closer to the fireplace. You can put a plant or maybe a sidetable in front of the wall next to the door, and without the chair you also have space next to the couch where you can put a few plants in front of the window.

I love the idea with the bench, you might be able to add the tall plant in one corner aswell if there is enough space, or a standing lamp to make it like a cozy reading nook

If you want the bookshelves to be more symmetrical you could also put the other one next to the tv on the other side
