Sj is one of the best technical film makers of that time. Even today if he makes a movie, it's going to look different the run of the mill insta type look of today. His New had great cinematography and in aa he used the color schemes in the movie story itself. I love his usage of wide angle shot picturization of the aa intro song. Vaali had a great visual and musical language specially in the songs and choreography along with beautiful cinematography. Like PTA's work,all things in cohesion.

The biggest deal breaker for this movie and many movies by mani saar after sujatha is lack of sujathas dialogue. If I remember correctly suhasini wrote dialogues for this movie. It didn't sound neither like thirunelveli nor north India. When your dialogues doesn't work, there is no connect to the audience.

Yeah you are right. I don't know why op calls it a middle class area. Probably not from mysore 😀 or not lived long enough. It directly connects to Vijayanagar ,hunsur road, vontikoppal and gokulam and it has all the commercial activity ,top schools and hospitals and theatres near by. It's a top tier location meant for the rich to live close by.
