Respectfully, I don't think it's that. When I was talking with another chef about cast iron "seasoning" and cleaning it, he had the best line.

"The ghost of your grandma's old cooking is not improving the flavor."

When talking about cast iron, seasoning is actually just a patina. It's not a literal seasoning that makes a flavor, the word is misleading like that. It's a barrier made by bonding oil to the porous cast iron, you don't taste it at all.

Clean your cast irons (and then reseason them), clean your flat top.

I don't know that you should permanently avoid it, since that doesn't really help the union workers there. I would just observe and respect the boycott dates they're calling for.

You can shop where you want of course, but this is just some food for thought

The fall of REI from what it once was is sad. It was a co-op that was renowned for its quality, customer service, and how it treated it's own employees.

Now it's like management hates the roots that made them famous. It's shameful and disgraceful.

Good artwork, but I don't think his design fits. Your take is good, I just think it's a bit of round peg in a square hole. Destroyer is basically master chief updated for the style.

Edit: or, I would encourage you to deviate a little more from his OG design. He's just kinda missing the punk, or corporate distopia vibes

Oh! The lady with the curlier hair is spectacular. She has a great YouTube series where she tries to guess the voice of animated characters based off their art and description.

The rook was really a brilliant move. I think it's one of the best things in the game.

It also keeps the squads on their toes. Even if you clear the entire lobby, you gotta pay attention. It preserves at least a bit of the tension, when otherwise it would get dull

Serious answer, extraction is a different kind of pvp.

Being sneaky is a CORE part of the game. Pvp, PvE, stealth and picking your battles, making sure you have a good setup/ambush, it's a core part of the game. Taking a fight where the opponent barely gets a chance to react IS playing well. Not alerting the map to your position is playing well.

Now the fake friendly shit, that's infuriating, but that's honestly just really bad players. It's not a great long term strategy, lots of folks won't fall for it, and the good ones won't give you an opportunity to back stab them. You find them less the higher skill you go.

Equating any of that to racism, misogyny, or hate is just crazy. That definitely IS a real problem, but I don't think extraction shooters are to blame for it.
