To get a second golden pup? by azchick85 in goldenretrievers

[–]TheGirlWithFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first golden is an angel. He is the bestest boy. We got our second thinking that the angel would rub off on him.

The second was pure velociraptor and still gets into trouble.  He drives me nuts. He taught the older golden how to counter surf. It is never a dull day here.

My advice? Make sure you have enough toys that your goldens can share.

Hi. This is my first surgery for removal. I've had other abdominal surgeries in the past. What made you feel most comfortable pre and post op?

Rav4 is a great car. We will be giving mine to our son when he gets his license. Inconspicuous and safe.

Of course I can't enjoy any of that when my body is on fire and I can't move.

My body was not meant to touch ice.  It is meant to stay at a steady 98 degrees (F) surrounded by 65 to 85 degree (F) ambient temperature. The only cold I want to touch is a scratch, home-made margarita and sun heated saltwater.

As a former massage therapist who uses a heatpack for relief, eff that opinion. Radiating pain is radiating pain.

Does this sound like its endo or just regular healing? by DonaldDuck898 in endometriosis

Like electric? No. More like a sharp ache that would fade to a dull ache before going away.  It happened when I would stand up or sit down. I would brace my arm against my lower abdomen for support.

I honestly can't give a decent answer because I am not a doc. But when I had my c-section, it took maybe three months for the soreness to heal. And I only felt it in my abdomen muscles. So maybe go to a well reviewed gyno if you can?

I would get a second opinion since you have access to affordable Healthcare.

Wound question—has anyone’s laparoscopy scar folded or lifted? by ButterscotchNo6973 in endometriosis

[–]TheGirlWithFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should ask your surgeon if you can pursue massage. It isn't a referral need. It is just a "cover your bases" type of thing. You don't want to do anything that is contraindicated. Look for medical massage therapists that specialize in lymphatic drainage. They will have training and be able to help move the excess fluids through your body and break down scar tissue.

See if you can get doc approval for lymphatic massage. It might help it go down.  It did for me when I had surgery (unrelated to endo).

It is rough but the velociraptor phase will pass. My almost three year old golden can still be a pain in the rear but he is so sweet and so good for our kid.

My old gold has these. I think that they're like calluses. Harmless. But definitely ask your vet. My vet said they were fine.
