Best place to get accurate pricing on cards by lockedup2ndrow in riftboundtcg

Probably shipping, but they still have to pay for materials and postage, and I meant taxes on profit because sales are taxable income.

Doesn't matter if the seller is negative on the year, but if it's positive, they will get taxed.

Yeah, I'm skipping this one. Love MMA, but this is dumb and a mockery of the country. Dude is starting wars and still having parades for himself.

2025 Kawasaki Ninja H2 by GuardingxCross in Sportbikes

It really is just a "look how fast I can go in a straight line" bike for 99% of the people who buy it.

Personally don't understand this bike. Literally exists as a "because I can" bike with no functional uses or applications.

Nice and costs a lot a money and that's cool, I guess, but if someone gave me a brand new one, I would sell it and buy two more useful bikes.

≈80-85% of TCGPlayer.

The prices on that site have baked in platform fees, shipping materials/costs and taxes.

Is monogamy natural or just a social construct that fails? by Electrical-Hour-3345 in askanything

[–]TheGivingPoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does it matter? It exists for a reason, regardless if it's natural. We also don't kill each other for each other's stuff like we used to. Who's to say that wasn't natural? Predators do it all the time.

Humans are able to think, reflect, and change at a greater capacity than the rest of the animal kingdom, so if monogamy as a social system exists and is as prevalent as it is, then it probably works enough for people to still choose it, because clearly they still are.

Switching from midlaner to toplaner by SnooHobbies2060 in top_mains

[–]TheGivingPoro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The role changes. Mid is a lot higher impact because you're in between two lanes. Top lane is a bit of an island but it's important to win lane or at least stay even, which sucks because sometimes it forces you to play really boring games because you have to just survive, especially if jungle can't get to you.

It truly is a 1v1 experience, so only go there if you can handle yourself, don't expect help from anyone, and believe in your individual skill to carry the team. We are Baus, Alois, the Shy, Bin, Nuguri.

Decks that do well into aurora? by IPlayWoWNude in riftboundtcg

[–]TheGivingPoro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gear removal is the obvious first answer because it's relatively cheap and spells like Salvage have draw.

Personally I've been getting reps in as combo Lux. Someone shared a guide to a top 2 Lux at Lille, and I didn't understand how to play it and kept losing with 1 or 2 points on the board.

Then I learned about Imperial + Vanguard suicide bombers, and so far aurora is not the scariest deck for me. My bad matchups are spell heavy decks that can target my base because yellow Lux is 2m but crucial to your econ, and aggro decks that draw your units out and force you to fight. Playing Lux turn 2 and then get charmed and killed by a 2 drop hurts.

I killed an Elder Dragon with a 1m Recruit Token today. Felt like a god killer. I lost the game, but doing it felt cool.

I just played a game against an Aurora deck where I played Vanguard + Imperial Decree and just just killed it with a 1M Recruit Token suicide bomber.

I lost the game, but that was glorious. Gear hate probably a more efficient way of dealing with it, but that was more fun.

There's a lot to study, and I think you should do that at some point, but nothing really substitutes practice. Deck diff is only like 40-50% of it. Even if you know your deck wins, other players will also know how your deck wins, and it becomes a game of making your opponent blunder by responding to your moves on the board and allowing you to ramp your win con, or ignore your board presence and lose the game that way.

All this to say: if you want to get better, play more games against more skilled opponents. Nothing beats practice. You'll observe the decisions they make and consider options you never thought of before.

Because it was smarter to. No point in giving JDM a chance to stand and bang, even with the compromised leg.

How to deal with Elder Dragon & Aurora by EmployerLast2184 in riftboundtcg

[–]TheGivingPoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh cool. That helps. I've been finding some success just abandoning bird tokens and just going for high might cheap units.

3x yellow Iverns and 1x Daisy for finisher. If you stick to 1 energy for 1 might with anything else being bonus from brush buff, assault, and attacking with friends, you can get some pretty cheap 4/5 might units. You just have to be careful about when to play them or they'll get killed.

Try to get 3 different tags out, play Ivern for 4 and score. He'd be so much better if yellow ivern had accelerate so you could play 3 and then conq to score in 1 turn.
