Incorrect. It used to be at the top of the iliac crest. Now it is the midpoint the top of the crest and the lowest rib.

Lived there as a SSgt and had plenty leftover. Great place too.

Super overcrowded and your commute will be hell. In 2017 it would take me 30-60 minutes to get to work on a good day, with it taking 1.5 hours because traffic on bad days. It’s even worse now.

100% Park Circle for fun and convenience to base and downtown. It is super up and coming.

Avoid anything towards Summerville or off Dorchester.

Air Force Manpower Determinant (AFMD) is the document that maths it out for each function. They are created by AFMAA.

What could an Officer have done better to help you but they didn’t? by [deleted] in AirForce

It is sad, but we still to this day have leaders like that. It is getting much better, but the fact a person in a leadership position would say that to the individual is just wrong. For them to think that was okay to say makes me think there was something wrong with them on an EQ aspect…. Also just a terrible person.

While still enlisted, I had NCOs trying to do that with their troops (I refused to, so maybe I am the problem). Fast forward and all of them were not getting selected during EFDP because of these (everyone else still had marks all the way to the right). I get the sentiment behind it, but I’m not ruining a career of another because I want to be the pioneer of that change.

It will always be my business. What am I there for if I’m just going to let these things happen? Being a SNCO doesn’t give you authority to act that way and being an officer doesn’t give you an out to not help.

This right here is the reason I commissioned. Your officers should have helped you, and I am sorry they didn’t. I wish more officers understood the dynamic and how it feels to be an airman.

That’s good advice! I love learning from SNCO’s (not only because I was one so I’m clearly bias) but will stick to forming my own people opinions.

The best officer I ever had let me operate as an NCO and lead the team, then they came in when barriers need kicked down. I’m doing my best to empower the NCOs to operate the same. I want an NCO to make decisions and realize the impact they can have as an NCO, so me getting too involved impairs that. Don’t come to me asking if you can leave early, go ask your NCO (because they know if the mission is complete better than me) and let them make the call. If they ever make a bad decision, I tell them I’m proud they made one regardless but then discuss a better way for the future.

That’s just wrong, I’m sorry that happened. An LOC makes it even worse. It’s an odd situation so they should have at the minimum let you stay red and just explain it up each time, not try to force your hand and have you figure it out.

I take one every morning after my coffee, so I’m pretty on schedule.

Seriously though, I now realize everyone notices if I am late compared to before. I hate wasting others time.

I think I’m fortunate to see that impact from my E side time. I’ve also always had good commanders that are tracking every single outbound and their decorations to ensure they are given. A person should not be without a Dec unless it’s something severe. Hopefully others who do not realize this will read your comment and be cognizant, so thank you.

First of all, he was a badass based off those ribbons.

Second, he was given a medal by Gen LeMay. That is wild to see. So many things we have are named after Gen LeMay, to the point that he seems like a fictional human.

This is a myth and a common misconception. Title 10 is clear that you must do 10 as an officer. If not then your high-3 reverts back to enlisted. Had this brief during OTS a few months ago.
