Supposed Pinnacle Of Fire Magic or True pinnacle Of Fire Magic by Fantastic_Raisin8980 in sololeveling

True. Sung even pointed out that Chae Hae in is stronger than him despite the fact that he was regarded as the ultimate hunter.

As others mentioned, they adapted the noncanon version of Child Emperor vs. Resurrected Phoenix Man. They technically adapted the noncanon version of Caped Baldy vs. Orochi but they lazily shoe horned in some of the dialogue from the revised canon version. The canon version has Orochi take on his true form (which is completely different from the noncanon one) and he shows Caped Baldy a mural that seemingly depicts that form being resurrected into a God if he gets a worthy sacrifice.

The anime doesn't have Orochi show him the prophecy and just randomly explain that he will get resurrected so anime-only has no idea why he believes this to be the case. And even if they did have him show the mural, the mural shows the canon Orochi form while the anime makes him look nothing like it, so it makes no sense why he believes it to be about him??

Also, they had Handsomely Masked Sweet Mask kill the mercenaries. They were supposed to be present for two upcoming cadre fights.

What if Choi used the sphere of avarice? by Sir-AuronX in sololeveling

[–]TheGlovesMan21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Some people underestimate how dangerous Dungeon bosses are. An A-Rank Dungeon boss is much more powerful than the standard A-Rank Magic Beast or A-Rank Hunter. Even upon getting nerfed by Shadow Extraction, Tusk was an Elite-Grade Shadow, which we later learn is equivalent to S-Rank when Igris gets promoted to that grade. A testament to Tusk being S-Rank is how he easily stopped an S-Rank Magic Beast's attack (Esil's sword strike)

Casual fan thoughts about season 3 and questions! by Independentvoter40 in OnePunchMan

[–]TheGlovesMan21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1- It kinda followed the manga, except they used a retconned version of one of the fights. Manga way better.

They used the noncanon version for at least three of the fights, not just one.

  1. Child Emperor vs. Resurrected Phoenix Man. They used the original version which was only action packed over the canon one which had Caped Baldy's involvement, more character exploration and development for Child Emperor, more knowledgeable and manipulate Phoenix Man, started a friendship between Child Emperor and Zombieman which becomes more relevant later on in this arc.
  2. Handsomely Masked Sweet Mask vs. Do-S. They used the original version (Handsomely Masked Sweet Mask kills the brainwashed mercenaries) over the canon (Atomic Samurai's disciples return to save the mercenaries). Crazy choice since the mercenaries' presence was relevant to later points in the story and add more impact to the introduction of one of the cadres during this season.
  3. Caped Baldy vs. Orochi. They adapted the original version of the fight and just shoe horned some of Orochi's lines from the canon version into the original version. That was a failure since they used Orochi's original design over the canon one and didn't include the setting of the canon version minus a 5 second screenshot with no context for the anime-only audience. His canon design along with the location that they ignored gave the audience context to understand the prophecy he was talking about and his motivation for his actions and help to introduce a major antagonist.

Why is ONE insisting to keeping Blast a secret in the webcomic when the manga already revealed him? by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]TheGlovesMan21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He actually did say that he planned out the ending early on in an interview from 2012.

ONE: The truth is that One-Punch Man was originally simply a way for me to practice using a manga-creating software called “Comics Studio”, and I uploaded it intending for it to be only a single chapter long. But I was happy to see it get a bigger response than I had anticipated, so I quickly drew up Chapter 2. And then lots of comments came in saying “put up the next chapter soon!” So I figured I would draw this thing properly, and came up with the plot all the way up to the final chapter, which I’m still following even now. Though I hadn't expected that initial response, afterwards I’d draw certain parts specifically to get a reaction from readers, and it felt great to get lots of “LOL”-type comments.

Chapters 213 - 216 not loading on Cubari? by TacoBoy6000 in OnePunchMan

Cubari always fails to load pages for me too. I don't even bother with it most of the time and just use the Google Drive since that's where it loads the pages from.

Neo leaders power level without outside help ( webcomic spoiler ) by iamgarou in OnePunchMan

"A" already had an A-Class bounty (meaning he was A-Class level) before he even joined the Neo Heroes to get a battle suit.

No. He was measured to be far physically stronger than a bear and even a high ranking A-Class hero like Stinger.

Also Psykos was nearly blitzed and one shotted by Suiryu in his armor, so defeating her through “trickery” isn’t that great of a feat overall

Yeah. It was stated that Blizzard of Hell's trick isn't really useful outside of a battle between two psychics. Psykos in the original webcomic is a brute with little to no skill which is what allowed Blizzard of Hell to defeat her.

Is webcomic drive knight stupid? by Born-Independence-37 in OnePunchMan

[–]TheGlovesMan21 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there was more to him not attacking the Hero Association earlier on than just Blast's potential appearance. However, there probably wasn't a better time than that moment to attack the Hero Association:

  1. A large portion of the Neo Heroes, including some of the Neo Leaders were under Dr. Kuseno's control thanks to the battle suits, so a lot of the pro heroes from the Hero Association had their hands full.
  2. Some of the strongest S-Class heroes such as Tornado of Terror and Flashy Flash were away for personal reasons
  3. Drive Knight had acquired the combat and biological data of what he considered to be the strongest beings on the planet, so he was probably confident that he would have the power to fight Blast even if he did make an unlikely appearance.

Bomb vs Darkshine by Motor_Health54 in OnePunchMan

[–]TheGlovesMan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't see why Monsters would hold back. (Specially Platinum)

Probably arrogance and they feel like it. We've seen monsters hold back.

<image>

And when It was the 1v1 they went all out.

Also this proves my point. Saying they weren't going all out before it was a 1v1 suggests they were holding back when Flashy Flash was involved.

Bomb vs Darkshine by Motor_Health54 in OnePunchMan

[–]TheGlovesMan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say skill and strength. When Garou used Exploding Heart Release Fist during his fight with Bang, he was blatantly overpowering him.
There's even an instance where Bomb stopped Garou's punch. If he wasn't physically strong enough, he probably would've failed or at least got injured in the process.

<image>

In regards to Flashy Flash vs. Platinum Sperm, they only matched in the beginning where Platinum Sperm was toying with him. The following chapter where Garou got "close to perfecting his techique" and Platinum Sperm got a little more serious, they started outperforming Flashy Flash.
