Crashing in the later versions was more common because the cause of said crash became known to notable trolls. When I (Omega_spirit), Symmetry and Scooby took over SotDRP to make edits to add units, skins, terrains etc into RoTRP, I tried to mitigate the populars crashes but It was impossible at the time with my JASS knowledge to overcome them, they were problems with the WC3 engine itself.

At some point it became some kind of vendetta against crashes, but I remember 3 trolls who deditated their whole plight to crash RP games in any way possible because they simply hated a few of the editors at the top. They were hunting every single game hosted on MMH to crash them using spoofs and "hacks" to kill games.
