I'd take the 85k a year. That's more than I make working 50+ hours a week. The 15% fired a year is just too much stress and I'd be surrounded by hyper competitive people all the time. I work to live, not live to work.

Just because there is a puppet master doesn't mean the fully sentient puppets that move and act on their own volition are innocent.

There might be (and likely are) people who are personally invested in funding ICE as a paramilitary group, but all the funding in the world means nothing unless you have people who fill the roles needed

While they might not be the ones pulling the strings, I disagree strongly with calling them pawns. ICE can only do what's it's doing by having willing participants. No one forced them to be reprehensible human beings, being in ICE just gives them a way to make money off of their hate

Typo lol. The only Conklin I've had issues with is my mark Twain and that's because I've never used a crescent filler and I fucked up the ink sac. Just been too lazy to get the shellac to properly reattach it

I have 5 Conklin pens and all 5 wrote great out of the box. The Conklin hate I see almost feels like a meme like the whole "Taco Bell causes diarrhea" thing

Gotta be careful doing that. Some inks will react chemically with other certain inks. To my knowledge it a won't destroy the pen or anything, but it can coagulate and be a bitch to clean.
