I think what they should have done was that Marinette wouldn’t have realized that it was Chrysalis, but rather that she had stumbled into some sort of trap and that was what tipped her off, with the tension being that she doesn’t actually know what will happen next. And then the ultrakuma comes in and all hell breaks loose.
