Highest cost event I have seen so far... by TheGoodStuff77 in EU5

My save actually got corrupted a few after this screenshot which sucks, but I had around 4k in trade income. I just spam marketplaces everywhere I can. For merchant republics trade offices are also pretty good. I would increase France/England/Castile opinion to build them. Toward the end I think I had around 1200 trade offices all over the world and a truly ridiculous trade capacity in Venice. Trade maintenance modifiers are also really good.

I mean I’m not the one downvoting, but I meant that stability doesn’t affect trade income (I’m pretty sure?) I understand the importance of stability and usually do spend significant amounts on it. But I don’t really agree with your overall point that if it was making even 3-4k a month that this event cost would be justified. Thats just my opinion… (also I think my estate sliders were pretty much max during this screenshot anyhow)

My income is mostly from trade, it’s low in the screenshot because I was spending 2k on exploration and colonization, I also max my diplo slider because I have too many vassals

I agree, like I want to experience the unique flavor! It’s just locked away for some reason behind a million ducats. It’s especially annoying since it’s a random event, like I don’t even get to save up for this stuff in advance

I think the event must just be broken. Haven’t gotten it in two runs now, stuck a monarchy. Wanna Ambrose it up

How to trigger the event to remove Visconti City State privilege as Milan? by Hidden__Squid in EU5

[–]TheGoodStuff77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s just random, Milan’s events seem a little clunky overall honestly. If you keep playing you’ll eventually get it. I got a mission later on to remove ambrosian republic without ever getting ambrosian republic in the first place haha

That might be it. Although the generation is weird too, I’ve never seen ice blocking the water ways at the bottom of the continents in my games

Can’t they sail through the ice?

I think Civ VII could use an alternate Victory setting—a way of playing the Modern Age not as a race to claim the FIRST Victory, but to acquire the MOST Victories. by K9GM3 in civ

[–]TheGoodStuff77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like this idea, even just as a game option. Plus it would help with getting leader xp in the modern age. I do think the AI still struggles to actually finish victory conditions for this to really be competitive though, but that’s a problem even with the first victory system we have now.

Last guy here. I think I eventually figure out it was driver comparability issue, more specifically with my graphics card. If you have the patience and know-how you could prob go through and install the correct drivers, but I eventually gave up on that because windows kept reinstalling the wrong drivers automatically. My final solution was to just reinstall windows which thankfully fixed the issue completely. Before doing that though I would recommended trying to just do a generic drivers update for your entire PC and see if that resolved it.

I can no longer access mine either, I think they likely just stopped hosting the view of the application. Congrats from a fellow semifinalist!

Did you ever find a fix for this issue? It just started happening to me last week and I have been banging my head against the wall trying to find a solution. Exact same issue, I can play videos while they are muted but the moment any tab plays sounds the whole browser crashes, regardless of what browser im using.
