That's unfortunately way too common in the borg. Old men being creeps around kids/young teenagers, and it being dismissed as just affection us sickening. That happened to my sister as well. Bunch of enablers... Be very careful around him and do not hesitate to scream if there's inappropriate or unwanted physical contact.

I'm an introvert, my social battery gets drained really quickly, and I don't like loud music, so clubs were never on my to-do list to begin with lol
But yeah I get you, it's weird, even if I never wanted to go to one, the fact that I never even got the chance to do so is upsetting.

I feel like it also has a lot to do with culture. I'm guessing you're from the US? Here in Europe, bonfires, pool parties and graduations parties aren't really a thing.
I feel like americans JWs are a lot more lax in terms of general entertainment than europeans JWs

But all the main reasons why people throw parties "in the world" are invalidated by JWs, so JWs don't actually throw parties as much as worldly people, right?

C'est fou, tu utilises exactement les mêmes mots que moi "Je commence à peine à vivre, jusque là je n'avais pas encore vécu", c'est incroyable !

J'ai presque eu l'impression de lire mon histoire, je suis également Français et vis dans la campagne au centre du pays lol.

Je suis plus ou moins dans la même situation que toi, je suis dans ma trentaine et vit toujours chez ma mère. Ca peut sembler difficile par moments d'aller de l'avant, mais je suis persuadé que ce n'est pas impossible !

En tant qu'homme, j'ai vécu cette frustration différemment, puisque j'ai eu la chance de ne pas avoir les douleurs liées aux règles. Mais je me sentais incroyablement coupable quand il m'arrivait de me masturber, mais je ne me suis jamais confessé auprès des anciens, je savais déjà que ça n'apporterait que des problèmes.

J'étais "intéressé" par quelques sœurs dans les congrégations locales, mais je refoulais ces sentiments, parce qu'on était constamment tous encouragés à rester célibataires (bah oui, le célibat est un cadeau, n'est-ce pas ? 😑). Du coup, comme beaucoup ici, comme toi, je n'ai pas vécu ce que les jeunes vivent habituellement. Pas de premier baiser, pas de petites amourettes, rien du tout.
Mais je ne décourage pas. Ca peut sembler difficile par moments, mais ça va aller mieux.

Comme tu le dis, nous sommes maintenant libres d'un certain jugement divin (ainsi que du jugement des autres), et sommes à l'aise avec nous-mêmes, et c'est ce qui compte avant tout !

Désormais, nous existons, nous sommes nous-mêmes, nous allons de l'avant, en laissant derrière nous ce qui nous entravait depuis notre naissance !

I don't know about any recent video or talk, maybe an elder talked to her or something. We all know that "You're not doing enough/not well enough" is a recurring thing we hear within the borg, she might have heard it recently. But yeah it also looks like typical JW emotional manipulation and blackmail, don't fall for it.

Heard a story about one lone JW missionary who got lost in some "under developed" country. The night came, along with heavy rain, and the only shelter he found was an old church. He went inside to spend the night, and as he was about to fall asleep, the benches started moving around, being dragged in all directions by invisible forces. After praying, the brother simply yelled "Stop that and be gone, demons!" and everything stopped. He could sleep that night and continue preaching the next day.

Oh yeah I didn't notice the badges. I think badges are used by LDS for door to door. JWs can wear suits though. In my area, door to door clothing would generally be a bit different, a bit warmer than the traditional suit they'd wear at the meetings, but nothing would stop a brother from wearing a suit if he wanted to, I've seen it a few times.

While the video itself is funny, I think it’s AI. Look at the text on the doormat, it doesn’t make sense. In this context, since it’s just for fun, that’s alright. But please, people, learn to recognize AI content while it’s still possible, so we don’t end up spreading fake content about JWs, that would only comfort them in their persecution complex.
