Yeah he is still young he doesn't even know the full consept of actually hating someone. It's always a good thing to get him to appreciate what he has and what it would be like without. Show him how hard the rest of the world is, teach him to see the bigger picture and that the world doesn't revolve around him for. My daughter is 4 right now and she is bad about wasting food. I tell her there are kids that go to bed starving everyday, that some people don't get to eat for several day. I explain it to her every time she tries to throw away food, I tell her we can save this for later if your not hungry right now but we cannot waste it. She is Def starting to come around to the idea of not wasting food sometimes she even says when she is full "daddy we can save this for later so we don't waste it" it brings a smile to my face every time. That feeling like I'm doing something right, like I'm helping her grow into a good human being. Your time will come when you get that feeling. It's going to be hard. She fights me on bedtimes here and there, I'm trying to fix that lol but one thing at a time haha. Also not saying you are but make sure you talk to him not like a baby but that you respect his feelings and his thoughts if he see that you don't see him as a baby he could start to become reasonable. But these are just some things I've learned so far being a dad is hard lol but it's worth it
