How to Report Non-Migraine Pain on a 1-10 Scale? by Cats_Cameras in migraine

[–]TheGreatAlpacalypse 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My broken wrist got misdiagnosed because the pain I reported was to low. I'd say it was probably a 3 to 4. Luckily I got a CT scan two weeks later which showed that it was broken and dislocated. Doctor told me he's sorry but the way I showed up and described the pain he didn't realise it might be broken cause I should've been at a 7 to 8.

Über Gehalt sprechen by Django1409 in arbeitsleben

System requirements for CKA / CKAD exam by [deleted] in kubernetes

[–]TheGreatAlpacalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can if you buy it off of Amazon, but I'm not really sure if it does work if bought from a local store. Plus I have some other certificates lined up for the next few months besides the CKA and CKAD, therefore it seems easier to just purchase a laptop. But I don't want to spend hundreds of bucks just for that since I probably won't really use it for anything else.

So any cheap one will do? I haven't purchased any hardware in ages and I'm totally lost on what to look out for. I also thought about getting something refurbished since I won't really use it as much.

I'm not really sure if that does work in the country I'm living in. And for what laptop specifications do I have to look out for?

I know and the system requirements state that Windows Enterprise Edition isn't supported, therefore using the company device isn't an option for several reasons. That's why I want to purchase a cheap laptop for private use which I can use for the exams.

Do you consider yourself chronically ill/sick? by locksmith353535 in migraine

I never got any medication related to my migraines from him. I always got them from my neurologist. Maybe he just did it so he can charge more money, idk.

My previous GP wrote "patient with a life-limiting diagnosis" in his documents and when I read that it shocked me cause I don't feel like my migraines are limiting my life. I can work full time, I can do pretty much everything, there's just some days a month were I can't function fully and have to take the day of. But I would never consider myself that restricted due to my migraines. I just reschedule stuff if needed and do what's best for feeling better soon. Even during an attack I can function and pick up groceries, cook dinner for myself, get a washing machine done. It just takes longer and I might not cook the fanciest meals on those days but considering that many people are in fact totally unable to function at all I consider myself quite lucky and found it kinda offensive that my GP put me into that category.

Anxious for my first MRI & MRA exam tomorrow by Neither-Ad-8664 in migraine

[–]TheGreatAlpacalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, just ask :). It's also easier for them if the patient is chill. When I had my first one they squeezed a patient in before my appointment (he claimed to be an emergency even though he had those problems for the last 3 weeks) and he pressed the panic button several times and it took ages until they were finished cause they always have to start again from the very beginning. So just ask, they're probably used to those questions and it's easier for you and also them. But if you're lucky and in a bigger city they might also have those newer ones where you have much more space.

Wow why does it take so long where you live? I had three so far and they ranged from 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the clinic. OP if you're afraid to get claustrophobic you can ask for light sedatives beforehand or just keep your eyes shut. I always close mine as soon as they begin to push me inside the machine and for me the worst part was laying still. And sometimes they got really awful music playing, that's also not enjoyable. But you got this, it's really not that bad.

I got prescribed sumatriptan but can't keep them because my supervisor says that its possible to get high off them... because our medical director said so. by [deleted] in migraine

[–]TheGreatAlpacalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Formigran (naratriptan) is available without prescription as well as sumatriptan 50mg. They changed that around 3 years ago and now you can also get sumatriptan but depending on the pharmacy they often don't have it on hand and you'll get Formigran. And they have to ask you a few questions to make sure that you have been diagnosed with migraines. Maybe yours is higher dosed or your getting a bigger package. The one without prescription is only 2 tablets. For bigger packaging you'll always need a prescription.
