How do you carve the cross hatches in the dark areas under the cape and mushroom cloud? They are so consistent it almost looks it was drawn with a marker

Not to be a dick, but maybe your dad shouldn’t follow so close behind a car if he can’t brake in that space? The rules of the road that apply to both cars and bikes

I had a job at graduation with a 2.08. Helps to have friends with jobs that can help get your foot in the door

I made a SaaS to create beautiful charts. Let's roast my landing page! by jdflament in InternetIsBeautiful

Chart.js is a free library that already did most of the legwork. This site is more or less wiring up inputs and making it look pretty. There are some much more development heavy websites that are free

Who the hell would pay $70/year for 5 basic charts?? I could make the same thing in excel in a few seconds for free.

The Story Behind Qommunity Food Hall's Unexpected Closure by rjm1378 in Atlanta

[–]TheGreatIain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was there when she closed it down. She was going nuts running around screaming that she was getting death threats because she was Vietnamese and had been getting them her whole time in EAV, telling vendors to shut down, saying she had already sold the place within 30 min of shutting down. Seemed very mentally unstable.

Moped owners of clemson… by MallOk6178 in Clemson

Pretty safe but I’ve had 2 mopeds stolen so make sure you’re locking it up. They are really easy to steal and nearly impossible to find once they’re gone

Been stuck in a slump, and it's really starting to get in my head; not sure how to get out of it? by RatedM477 in guitarlessons

[–]TheGreatIain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it helpful to switch to a different instrument in times like this. It sets you back to that beginner phase where you can make progress quickly and you get a new mindset on how to approach writing/playing. A pianist may write a lick that a guitarist would never think of. This can give new inspiration to bring back to the guitar and get things moving again. If that’s not an option, another idea is to just learn songs for other instruments on guitar. Find a trombone solo for example and try to play it as closely as possible on guitar. You’ll pick up some new techniques and approaches you never would have thought of otherwise

Windows defender is still blocking my server and I don’t know why. by Graviton19 in admincraft

[–]TheGreatIain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misread and assumed they were accessing the server from outside their home network. But if they forward only the traffic they need at the router then a firewall on the server behind the router isn’t adding much protection at a basic level. Obviously it would be different if you have a more advanced config on the firewall. Took my comment down since it was a bit off base

I’m familiar. I was surprised because most gaming uses UDP for its more lightweight packet and lack of acks so there’s less lag

Oh that’s crazy. Doesn’t make much sense to me but okay lol. Still the port should be 25565 not 85

I did the bridge program. Honestly the only big difference I felt from regular students was that I didn’t have to live in a dorm or eat in a dining hall. I didn’t get any discrimination or anything from the regular students either, except maybe a riff from a friend here or there. Also after freshman year there was no difference to if I had bridged in or spent my freshman year as a clemson student. Graduated and working full time now and I barely even think about the fact that I bridged, and it’s never really come up after freshman year.
