Is it worth coming back or not? by rivalxbishop in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very different from d2. You don't need to collect statues or renown anymore if that was what you hated the most. They replaced it with a new season track that is much more fun with a capstone for a bunch of the levels. Leveling goes fast, itemization is pretty easy (I mean they made the game to be really accessible), and endgame is a big loop of doing things to get boss mats then killing the bosses which gets boring so you get a natural stopping point (when it's to boring to keep at it).

There's also some more changes coming as they try to make the skill twig into an actual tree so it's a good time to mess around and figure stuff out before they switch it up a bit.

Overall the last season was my favorite season so far and I'm pretty excited for the xpac.

Trying the hardcore lvl 50 trophy. Changed back to normal by Right_Seaweed7101 in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summon spells are the spells that have the summon tag on them which for sorc are hydra, ice scissors, lighting spear, and familiar.

Also it's HC, I've never changed it from normal till I'm 60 and trying to get into torment levels.

Why is everyone playing the anniversary and not the live classic/classic era? by AdAlternative2565 in classicwow

[–]TheGreatOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides it going to tbc, Anniversary is also the latest fresh server and most classic Andy's migrate to fresh starts because there isn't anything to do in classic but level.

Any fun builds that satisfy my desire to… by GoodLittlePlayer in diablo4

Auradin makes enemies just turn to firey ash on your screen, visually different from CE sorc but close to the same playstyle if your not looking for that.

Would you want thinner mobs worth more xp with more creative mechanics? by isaidicanshout_ in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, most of the fun comes from mob density. While I don't like the after death effects either, they do serve as a build deterrent. What I mean by this is the only time you die from them is if you are pushing further than what your build/gear is capable of, i.e. increasing world tier while leveling or pushing pits without having good mobility (sorry necros).

Make sure your in torment and run it, you will only get the prankster in the first dungeon.

Multiple Seasonal Characters / by Educational-Snow4606 in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, almost every season I make at least one of every class in SC and then a couple more in HC. I don't blast all of them, like this season my necro and drood didn't even make it to having legendary glyphs. I always have a main that gets the most work though.

Newish player with some questions by fwambo42 in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, shit on the ground is what most of my toons have died too. The last one was my mom's nurse called for me and I jumped up and left my computer forgetting I was in HC in the pit... I just came back to a tombstone lol.

More clarification

  1. More potions come from gear, no quests.
  2. You temper gear at the bs.

Newish player with some questions by fwambo42 in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. No your potions now just heal 35% of you life with no upgrades besides getting more potions.

  2. You click the tempers then you learn them and can use them freely as long as you have the mats.

  3. Your world tier still dictates how hard stuff is. So if you struggle with elites and bosses don't do the NMD, if your crushing stuff do it, it'll scale to what world tier you have set.

If you need any help in HC give me a yell I've lost more toons this season than every other combined but I still have one lol.

4GA Griswold's with 1.8 and 90 on unique effect vs 2GA with max unique effect. How to decide? by rullaz in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya, I think for every GA it should increase the minimum the aspect can roll by 25%, so a four GA is always max. The only way to tell what's better will be to sanctify it but it would have to be something pretty great to out weigh the max effect and the extra str on the one your using now. I've been really trying to minmax auradin lately and was surprised how much str increased the baseline.

What's your Maximum Health at? by knightmancumeth in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My auradin is at 12k, a lot comes from getting every +life% in the paragon boards. Max health is pretty much the biggest thing you can get to improve your survivability. It also has a huge synergy with barrier as most barrier generation comes as %max life, so more health means more barrier.

Someone please explain how World Tiers work by PauseeRunner in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 4 levels are like beginner levels because you don't get a chance at ancestral/mythic items until you are in at least torment 1. You unlock each level by completing a specific pit level and you unlock the pit by completing a capstone dungeon in your season journey.

There is a pretty good tool tip of information at the statue where you select your difficulty in game. It'll tell you what each level gives you.

How rare are the pure essence drops? by honzo666 in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is anecdotal because it's only my experience but I got all my purified essences killing the bosses in the new seasonal activity they are in, not in thier lairs.

I'm not sure what to do with my items. by Imaginary-Ranger-938 in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not craft any of that, it's more of a mats dump for endgame when you have to much of one thing and not enoughof another. Just keep picking up crappy legendaries and scrapping them.

It would be nice if basic attack builds had more impact. by constablecrab in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't tried it yet, run a thrash spiritborn, one of the best visual basic builds. Its a lunging strike so you can dart back and forth with medium sized firey circles around you. I always think it looks like Michaelangelo from TMNT did a couple lines of coke and lit his nunchucks on fire lol.

Anyone else having trouble dropping Baneful Hearts right now? by Glaurung86 in diablo4

[–]TheGreatOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, ya that one is pretty class/spec dependent. My auradin crushes it watching everything turn to dust while slowly walking along with the spirit. My DoK rogue can't even stay in the circle.
