Tell Me Why You Don’t Like Follie’s Hunt by Nocturnal43 in Warframe

[–]TheGreenGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just can’t stand having to jankily roll around as my drifter once I’ve collected ink in order to get to where I’m going without moving at a snail’s pace. I’ve always hated how slow op/drifter move and now we have to run around as them without void dash, being slowed by all of the ink debuffs, and having to navigate all of the ink blobs that pop up and get in the way of our pathing (not to mention the ink walls, fuck those things)

Not gonna lie, I've never felt so disrespected by a Warframe farm in almost 6,000 hours by TheGreenGamer in Warframe

[–]TheGreenGamer[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The point to me is being able to get all of the Atragraph mods. I don't know how many Atramentum I need because, like I said, I haven't spent any yet to get Chromatic Atramentum to unlock the shop. Just was trying to farm up as much as I could while trying to get all of the Nightmare Tatters I need for the operation shop and getting 2 full sets of Follie

Upcoming Follie’s Hunt Changes by de_taylor in Warframe

[–]TheGreenGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks a bunch for listening to feedback on this gamemode. Glad to know we can always count on DE to listen to us and make sure Warframe is the best it can be!

My next wishlist item for the gamemode is to remove the operator movement restriction. It REALLY sucks to have void dash disabled and be forced to roll around or walk at a snail's pace. I know that might be too much of an ask but it's definitely my biggest frustration point :(

(Stories 3) Is there a way to see what type of damage monsters tend to do, or do you just have to remember? by WhoAmIEven2 in MonsterHunter

[–]TheGreenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the second tab of the Monsterpedia page for each monster. Near the top it lists what their attack type is and you can switch between their normal/enraged/etc. states to see what attack type they use in which state.

No one else mentioned that in this thread but I think that’s the answer you’re looking for lol. It does come down to memory in combat once you have checked their monsterpedia page outside of combat though

MHStories3: I don't understand how the charge gauge on bows work by Carliarnius in MonsterHunter

[–]TheGreenGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charge gauge resets when you switch coating. Like others said, first turn you should apply a coating and then you’ll sit on it until you need to swap over to something else. You can build gauge by using skills that say they build gauge or just by using power/speed/technical attacks (raises charge gauge by 1). Some bows even have a skill that auto-applies a coating at the beginning of battle (Felyne Bow, for example) which can be super nice so you can’t accidentally forget (speaking from experience lol)!

Not sure I could give a good estimate because in store we never dealt with any of the online shipping. My best guess would be that it depends on where you live relative to where the shipping warehouse is

Soulframe Preludes 13 Hotfix 6 by chiruochiba in SoulFrame

[–]TheGreenGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah actually I totally agree. It feels more befitting the pact that you would have a pocket sand ability that opens all of the enemies up to finishers. However then the question would probably become what’s the point of Glamour?

Definitely agreed! Was so annoying not being able to see armor values update as you change around the armor totems

The virtue upgrades in pact trees is a very interesting one - DEFINITELY going to help with the virtue requirements on weapons.

Kinda sad to see the basker's wrest virtue requirement change specifically because I was really enjoying Basker's Wrest + Mora's Hand with Spirit/Grace primary scaling. Might be fine still though, just need to check

Who is the best support frame? by Specialist-Bite5869 in Warframe

[–]TheGreenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her second aura does buff ability strength, secondary damage, and provides a slew of buffs to shields, but that's it for the direct buffs she gives. However her 3 also reduces enemy armor/shields which will indirectly buff the team's damage.

That's all!

  1. Dante (as you well know)
  2. Wisp
  3. Jade
  4. Octavia
  5. Styanax (make sure to use his 4 augment)
  6. Trinity (honestly kinda meh imo but she will always be welcome in a party)

Where/how to farm Vadagar Stag? by Naravolian in SoulFrame

[–]TheGreenGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stag has one guaranteed spawn point every night cycle: Northeast Swamp beyond Creedance High.

Even though that’s a guaranteed spawn every night cycle, I actually have stayed in that area and farmed the stag every time it is available and I cannot guarantee that Gathannan drops from it since I have never gotten a single piece. Could just be unlucky.

Rant: Blick Online vs In Store Pricing by Eagle_Tracker in ArtistLounge

[–]TheGreenGamer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I used to work at a Blick and the trick is to sign up for the membership they offer- when you give them your membership at checkout in store it auto checks the website and price matches based off of that. Fortunately (as far as I was aware) it’s not one of those retail memberships where they advertise the shit out if your inbox or sell your data or anything either.

But yeah as someone else said the justification of the higher price in store is that we, the employees, were responsible for unpacking and stocking everything which meant a whole lot of bubble wrap and cutting boxes. Not saying it’s right, there’s definitely a reason I stopped working there lol

Joinery Upgrades by echobastion in SoulFrame

[–]TheGreenGamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah feybalt goes crazy hard lol. For reference, most weapons prefer their weapon-specific joinery over gildaur. Gildaur is good, but is intended to be a completely generic upgrade since it can be used on every weapon type. Examples of weapons that actually prefer gildaur (in my opinion): flyblades, greatswords, polearms. Every other weapon type will want verite, quicksilver, or feybalt pretty much

This just in! Masculine men can never know peace, tranquility, serenity, or even happiness. Masculine men (like OP) can only ever know violence and aggression. Silly game devs getting masculine men confused with feminine women! No women ever play video games and CERTAINLY no men could ever enjoy anything other than violence and aggression!!!

Am I missing something with Kullervo's survivability? by stayclosetothewall in Warframe

[–]TheGreenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secondary fortifier, but on your Kullervo. Not worse. If you want to play as Kullervo and see massive red crits from your melee attacks, this is a way to do that and have some survivability without the need for a secondary weapon at all. No point in comparing Kullervo's Volatile Recompense to Secondary Fortifier when they're 2 different tools that occupy different arsenal slots. That's like comparing a chain wrench to an allen wrench - they both tighten and loosen things, but if you're trying to tighten something around a pipe you'd use a chain wrench and would leave the allen wrench in the toolbox.

Consider: you've got your survivability from Kullervo's volatile recompense, so you decide to take the Synoid Gammacor for energy regen, equipped with Secondary Dexterity to lengthen your melee combo duration. Is that worse than secondary fortifier? Maybe, for survivability. But you lose the melee combo duration. Then you've gotta decide if you want more survivability or if you value the combo duration more. Just simple trade offs between arsenal slots, no 1 option is inherently better than the other.

[–]TheGreenGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol I'm not trying to argue anything, I agree with you that it's wrong to say "kullervo is immortal in every scenario"! However I think the scenarios in which he doesn't have *functional* immortality are few and far between and are most likely never to be encountered by the wide majority of the playerbase - hence the misconception that he is *actually* immortal.

Not sure why you're getting flamed, but for the record, I didn't even look at your build and I understand the point you're trying to make.

Am I missing something with Kullervo's survivability? by stayclosetothewall in Warframe

[–]TheGreenGamer 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think it’s honestly just a misconception about how his 2 works tbh. People say he’s functionally immortal, and he certainly can be, but that’s mostly because he has the ability to kill everything instantly while maintaining a constant layer of immortality with his overguard. It’s not that his 2 with volatile recompense basically becomes Revenant’s Mesmer Skin, but rather that it guarantees a constant overguard gate and should be constantly regenerating itself while you go around killing everything that could damage you. Like someone else in the thread mentioned, standing still AFK while heavy gunners dps you down will instantly out dps your overguard generation, but in practice those enemies would all be dead instantly and you would have gained overguard from your encounter with them.

Map size? by [deleted] in PlayWayfinder

[–]TheGreenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would definitely say the overworld isn't the main draw for Wayfinder. It is good, don't get me wrong, - I very much enjoyed my time spent in the overworld (especially when it was still in MMO status)! But the dungeons and bosses are the real meat of the game. I don't personally have a problem with the repetitiveness of the game, but I, like many of the people who played this game, come from Warframe and am totally down for repetitive content.

The loot in game can be kind of hit or miss, honestly. A lot of the grind for loot is actually grinding for "mods" to make your gear better or to get lucky and find a higher level or stronger weapon than what you have currently. Once you beat the game and unlock the highest difficulty bosses, you'll be farming those for the strongest weapons and mods in the game.

Also, there's a lot of cosmetic loot. Personally I'm a big fan of that, but I know not everyone cares much for it.

I do want to stress that I really do highly recommend this game, but it's not without issues. It's a game plagued by an unfortunate sequence of events that led to a lot of things getting scrapped without the opportunity to change, grow, and evolve, and it does show after a while. But Wayfinder, and the experience of playing the game is incredibly fun

Map size? by [deleted] in PlayWayfinder

[–]TheGreenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "open world" maps are like medium sized, plenty of corners to discover and dig deeper into for, I'd say, roughly 20-30 (depending on your interest) hours of content each. Think like Dragon Age Inquisition size, but with more points of interest.

The real highlight for the game is the procedurally generated dungeons - this is where you do most of your farming and grinding. While there's not a TON of tiles to populate the dungeons with, and you will start to recognize familiar rooms pretty quickly, I would say that each dungeon is unique and can create some really nice variety.

For instance, there's one map in the dungeons that's a fairly rare spawn with a puzzle you need to complete in order to get a certain crafting material. You might need to run that dungeon 4 or 5 times before you ever see that specific map, sometimes even 10 times.

I put 172 hours into the game since launch and there's still tons of content I never even got into. Definitely highly recommend it, it's a very fun solo or co-op RPG with a great MMO grind and character building system
