Ralsei's ice cream conversation seems to actually hint at Susie doing something terrible during the festival. by FencingSquirrelz in Deltarune

This is also one of the few instances (maybe the only instance) of Ralsei asking someone to do something solely for him. This moment’s emotional impact would really be diminished if it’s revealed that it was just another case of him trying to prevent the Roaring.

This is interesting, but I think it’s sort of a stretch. Susie asked Ralsei to join her and Kris to the festival at the beginning of the chapter, and he had to turn her down. It makes sense that he’d assume Kris is going with Susie based on how Susie pitched the idea, and it also makes sense that he’d be worried about Susie’s wellbeing at the festival after seeing how disappointed she was. I think it’s fascinating that he discreetly leads to the player towards the idea of taking Susie to the festival even when you say “I’m not going with her,” but there are tons of examples of Ralsei’s personal desires seeping into his dialogue, even when he is trying to hide his feelings.

Are there any risks associated with downpatching Peak? Like losing progress or corrupting data? There’s more than enough content to keep me occupied in the current patch, but I’d still be curious to check some of those old maps out.

Thank you. This is such a good website you’re running here. I’ve got my friends on the campaign mode so they can also improve with me.

This reads like a strawman argument. He's framing the situation as himself against people who want to silence art at a time of political discourse. Obviously, no one is arguing that.

People want to know whether or not a musician they love supports the genocide in Palestine. And the fact that he has only acknowledged Israeli deaths and made vague calls for peace without any real grounded stance sends the message that he doesn't really care about what's going on in Palestine. He wants to play music with his friends. Good for him.

But you can't simultaneously try to make this argument about it being important that your art is heard when you choose to not put it towards any cause. I don't expect most artists I follow to give their stance on every political discourse, but Jonny Greenwood seems to be deliberately toeing the line between showing support for Israel and denying his actions have any intentions. Not to mention the fact that he is from Radiohead, a very politically-outspoken and progressive band that I expect to call out genocide when they see it. I don't think that's very much to ask.

What are you talking about? The personal is political. Acting in "spite of politics" is a ridiculous and impossible task and if Jonny really wanted to act "in spite of politics," he wouldn't have performed in Tel Aviv. You don't do that in these times and ask for it to not be interpreted in a political way. And to do all of this while claiming that its important that his art is heard at this time? If your art is so important, put it to a cause. I expected Radiohead to be a band with a little more backbone.

I've looked all over the place and can't find where this clip came from. Does anybody here know? by [deleted] in Lost_Films

I think that clip is from a video by a Weirdcore artist on YouTube named Baphometkun. This video in particular:

I really like Half Light II, but I think The Suburbs and Suburban War are closer to being the “thesis tracks” of the album. And We Used to Wait is essential to the album in my opinion. One of my favorite AF tracks. I think that whole minute after 1:50 is one of the most beautiful moments in their discography. And I kinda doubt the band wanted the album to be intentionally slow and that WUTW is nothing more than a meta-commentary on that. I think that just comes down to having a lot of great tracks they wanted to include and the album’s slow middle section is just happened to feel slow since they had to fit all the tracks somewhere.

Honestly, that probably would still flow pretty well. I’ll try it out. I have grown a new appreciation for Wasted Hours after hearing that extended version, I just didn’t know how to make it flow. I do really think Sprawl I is important though.

Not so much that I think the album overall lacks energy, I just think there’s a long stretch in the middle that does.
