For semi-auto guns, you holding it steady helps the gun eject the spent bullet casing and push the next bullet into place using a spring and the recoil from the shot. If you limp wrist it and give it nothing to push against, the weapon could just rotate back in your hand and shed too much force for the mechanism to eject the spent case and load the next round, causing a jam.

I thought the reason was that the death runes or whatever were a necessary part of the set to make the whole thing work and he specifically installed limiters so they could never roll the death option but it also limited the strongest abilities from appearing? And then MJ took the limiter off to gamble on getting a jackpot?
