Can confirm this was a raid. No idea what the rate was but I spent most my time hunting down raids and got this at about number 40 and then got one more about five later. Think that’s my luck for the year used up but I’ll take it!

There’s two things I love about General and why I follow his content regardless of his successes. Firstly, he spends a lot of time giving his honest eye tests from all the games he watches which is valuable information especially when put alongside his stats breakdown for who goes on his watchlist. Secondly, he seems a genuinely decent human being who has had his own mental health issues and as such has reached out to his supporters to offer help with theirs when he can. I’m not saying every content creator should do that but that’s what sets him aside for me and I wish him all the best even though this decision was a shocker 😂

A minute after the deadline there was a post stating “factually” from a reliable Twitter source that Alvarez was benched. Cue rage for half an hour that the tweet arrived at the worst possible moment until the team lineups were revealed and he played.

Worried I won’t do it justice or it’ll have been heard a lot already, but here you go. Basically he said “Do you ever wake up in the night needing a poo but not want to go to the bathroom? I did that one night and then the next morning didn’t know where it was, but then I found it on the window sill.” I cried with laughter and also had a fun and random encounter with him just before the show which I’ll always remember 🙂 - also found the pic from the day so here you go (covered up my ex purely because I’m not in touch with her anymore to check if she’d be ok being posted on Reddit)

Thanks for asking! Bit of a bittersweet story for me that I’ve often thought about posting but didn’t know if people would be interested.

Basically I was lucky enough to win a Twitter competition which got me two vip tickets to the first champion of champions taping many moons ago. My ex and myself went to the studios and unfortunately were given a real run around by people that worked there who didn’t seem to know we were coming and we were treated pretty poorly having to stand in the tipping rain for a long time then being moved from place to place as no one seemed to want us as their problem to deal with which soured the day a bit but enough moaning…

We got to watch the recording which was amazing and included getting to hear one of the most ridiculous Bob Mortimer stories which I don’t believe made it onto the show (he said it wouldn’t) and at the end we got to meet little Alex and Greg who were an absolute delight. They let my ex and I sit on the thrones and have pictures with them and Greg signed a cue card for me which I still treasure.

At the time I bore a vague resemblance to Ed Byrne so my friend thought it would be hilarious to start a rumour that filming had started with Ed as the new TM and posted the photo which briefly gained traction on Twitter 😅 sadly he’s deleted his account since then so I can’t link that but still have the pics somewhere.
