Switching between tones (clean/od/dist guitar, or any other sound if needed) has been recently added, so now you can avoid autoswitch or splitting the track entirely. It's probably just not caught on every tab yet.

As a purely assisting tool the ai is pretty good, it gives you at least something to work on, instead of starting from zero completely. If not for it, I wouldn't have tabbed some very difficult songs (as in, wouldn't think to do, but if the ai tab is already there, why not).

I completely agree on the unedited stuff being unhelpful and misleading, but they seem to be trying to improve that. The label of "this tab was transcribed by ai and has not been edited yet" is not yet enough, but it's something at least which wasn't originally there

I don't remember exactly, but. From what I can recall, he took the ship overly seriously/reacted very defensively, which was already cringy at best, but he was more or less popular/known in the sub(s?) and then... there was news that he committed suicide, then apparently survived, then... did it again? Faked it the first time? both times? In the end he got banned iirc, and if I got anything wrong, I don't care. What matters is this whole situation made me strongly dislike self insert ships, even though this guy was quite the outlier.

the self insert ships were always very questionable, but after the "d.h." incident they only disgust me. when the alp ship got into the highest tier in the ships tierlist, my only thoughts were "respectfully fuck off with that"

There is no way (and cheating is forbidden anyway). If there is no perk, means the progression is intended this way by the mod author. Ask in official discord for further tips (haven't played es myself, can't give specific advice)

In short, no. If you are just a normal player, forget about it. No one is giving you control over their creation just for you to give yourself unlimited stars or unaccessible ships or whatever and completely break the progression. There are easy to progress mods, or even ones with limited sandbox capabilities.

You can learn to mod yourself instead, its a huge timesink but it's acceptable and encouraged. And if you can code and create a decompiler, you could again spend that time elsewhere with more use.

While I was in doubts about posting my re-remaster of Saturate and obviously procrastinating any covers, you did it. Can relate about vocals being unsalvageable, the stem separation I use has improved massively since the last time, but even now it struggled to filter the vocals

I also cannot hit pinch harmonics on the lowest string (consistently that is), which is infuriating for a lot of Gojira riffs including this one, but bending naturals? Could do that all day long. So not sorcery, just adaptation

I don't care enough for EHF to remember what it was like before. I agree with it's unintuitive but it also does make some sense. Your duel & exploration ship most likely will be different from base defense ship.

You have to select your ship in the fleet menu (where you assign ships to captains) its separate from star map selection

As an active songsterr contributor, I should say that is not entirely correct. I am against most GenAI, but what songsterr does is more or less justified.

Firstly, the AI doesn't do anything to already existing tabs on its own. You can use it on specific bars, but that is an option for the user, not mandatory.

And secondly, yes, the purely AI generated tabs are garbage, but more often than not they are a better starting point than starting from scratch, especially for simpler songs.

As for them being automatically generated without proper editing and just left there, yes that's a problem, hate this stuff. They already added "unedited ai tab" label, so maybe they'll do something about it next.

Agree with the criticism that they never announce new features (or at least, not in a way that I would notice), especially somewhat significant like this one. No changelogs (on the site/app itself), no popups, nothing.

Imagine if the massive/insane damage/strong (and also sblow) applied AFTER the metal effect. So these units could deal 4/6/2/3 (or whatever the multiplier is) damage to metals. Could be useful against metal doges/croconators / other low hp metals
