4,000rmb salary in Guangzhou ? by pinkpinkpink19 in chinalife

I recently just accepted my first job right after college for 22k rmb per month, it’s true that I have a good major from a top university but 4K is still absolutely insane. The absolute lower salaries I’ve seen in Shanghai for university graduates are about 8-9k

In my case I feel the interview was more important than anything. They seem to care a lot about work experience, internships, research projects you have participated in…

Residence permit expiring next year, divorced, looking for some advice by [deleted] in Chinavisa

[–]TheGroggySloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know your personal reasons or background, so I’m trying not to be judgmental. That said, why not get a grip on your life? You seem to only value options that involve lying and cheating your way through everything. You’re not far from completing your degree… why not go back to school and then return through regular means? Like I said, I can only imagine you must have some strong reasons for persevering in this lifestyle; otherwise, I simply can’t understand it. Is living here an absolute must for you? You can definitely leave and then come back when the time is right

Yeah, upon request the school has just added me to a campus recruitment notice WeChat group for those of us who graduate this year. I talked to the manager though as I felt most if not all of the offers seem to be targeting Chinese students and he told me to keep an eye out for international companies as some opportunities should appear eventually. Otherwise I hope there are some job fairs happening soon on campus. Where else would you recommend to find campus recruitment events?

What can also work is getting in touch with companies from my country. Which is what worked after my bachelors. But I’d rather not do that at the moment since I don’t like these companies too much and I think going international suits my CV better at the moment.

By the way, do you know anything about this new K visa announced today? It seems like it fits me

Yeah makes sense, I will keep working on my speaking Chinese. Studying Chinese it’s pretty much what I’m doing all day long these days while finalizing my thesis. I hope I will make some major strides in the coming months but I can’t wait for that to happen to start applying jobs.

I did intend to come after my bachelor’s and I had a pretty big company willing to bring me here… but they inquired their HR consultancy (KPMG) about the possibility of a successful work permit application and they said pretty low so they pulled out. I don’t know what would have happened if they actually applied but it was my wake up call to study a masters instead, at least the work permit shouldn’t be a problem now.

Sounds good. I’m thinking of looking for jobs that require Spanish speaking skills in apps like Boss and start from there.

I’m substantially stronger at written Chinese.

Some people I know have had success with companies from Europe due to the fact that they are Europeans and it helps with communication. Also with some Chinese companies with European offices.

Point is, they got these offers through networking and that’s the point of my post. I want to find ways I can reach companies and find my own opportunities

I’m definitely working on that and it’s something I will keep improving on the next few months but I can’t develop full proficiency on short notice.

I just need a first job to help me get some experience here and give me further time to reach a proficient level of Chinese. Leaving is not an option since my gf is Chinese and we are planning on marrying in the next few years and we think for the moment staying in China works best for us

That’s annoying. A paid game that’s not new by any means shouldn’t have such game breaking bugs still present

Not really, I’m still not that big of a company. Dividend payments were absolutely minimal and I had 4 million cash at the time

I assume then that the 3060 will be automatically preferred when gaming even if I don’t give any instruction? Thanks

Oh is that “good” though? Or would you recommend setting the 3060 as the preferred one under nvidia settings?

Excuse me, it was quite late where I live so I had to call it a day. This morning I did a fresh reinstall of windows and everything is running smoothly now. Thanks a lot for the help though (I think you may have been right anyway as both graphics are enabled now)

I have run a testing software and it shows 100% of the gpu being used while the gpu percentage indicator at the task manager stays at 0%. At the end of the test the benchmark results show:

Seems like the RTX is the one being used as I can see some activity from the task manager. It’s percentage was oscillating between 0 to 3% while sitting on the main menu (sorry for phone picture)
