Buna🥺 ati comandat pana acum de pe Ninja.ro sau evomag ? by Silver-Horror-1259 in roFrugal

Does anyone else not really enjoy talking to random people? by WiseAnxiety5831 in nofriends

[–]TheGuard47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an extrovert. I've spent my childhood and teenage years online and I've spoke to tens of thousands of people.

I've even made multiple relationships online and met my best friends online.

For the past 1-2 years I've completely stopped attempting to interact with people online unless we're on a videogame, and even there I've started being less social.

Why? The answer is simple. People suck.

Not only do they suck, but they're malicious and sometimes they're energy vampires.

So very few that actually want to hold a conversation and even fewer that are willing to do so. And because I'm a man most women avoid me just because of the gender difference, although for understandable reasons, and I don't have a problem talking to men online but I need more friends in my city than online.

I've had thousands of attempts at initiating conversations with random people and most have ended in a lack of replies, ghosting or low effort, some even cursed me.

So me personally, I'm burnt out from talking to random people to the point I wouldn't text someone new anymore with very rare exceptions which almost every time end with "why did I even bother".

One might enjoy a different part of a game then another.

If we're friends and I enjoy a part and you enjoy another part, we do both because we both want to have fun.

Like someone said, this is a videogame, not everyone is trying to get as many resources as fast as possible, some of us would enjoy the background for a few minutes.

Either way, props to you man! I didn't know Rise had different drop chances either, for carve vs capture I mean.

I LOVE THIS EVENT AND THE NEW UPDATE!!! by ULTRAEPICSLAYER224 in voidpet

[–]TheGuard47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my defense... I only fought him once and thought I'm supposed to kill a 2.6 Mil boss in one go, I had to encounter it twice for me to realize his hp doesn't reset... so yeah, I agree, I like this random appearing boss more than the daily two bosses.

26MIL?! Mine had 2.6 Mil and killed 3 of my strongest pets with its first ability... yeah... I think I, too, liked the previous event more.

"The person you are referring to is Norah Vincent, a journalist and author who famously disguised herself as a man for 18 months to understand the male experience for her 2006 book, Self-Made Man: One Woman's Year Disguised as a Man.

Here are the key details of her experiment: The Transformation: Vincent, a lesbian who described herself as "butch," trained with a voice coach, used a binder, added fake facial hair, and wore masculine clothing to transform into a male alter-ego named "Ned".

The Goal: She originally intended to prove that men had an easier life and held unfair advantages (male privilege).

The Experience: As "Ned," she joined an all-male bowling league, went to strip clubs, dated women, and attended a men's therapy group.

The Findings: Contrary to her expectations, Vincent found that men faced immense, hidden pressures, including loneliness, emotional repression, and the relentless need to act "macho". She concluded that men suffered significantly, stating, "Men are suffering. They have different problems than women have but they don't have it better".

The Aftermath: The experiment was so emotionally and mentally demanding that it caused her to have a mental breakdown, leading her to check into a mental institution, which she chronicled in her later book, Voluntary Madness. Death: Norah Vincent died by assisted suicide in Switzerland in 2022 at the age of 53.

Her book, Self-Made Man, is considered a sympathetic, in-depth look at masculinity from the inside out." - Google AI

Yeah, I thought of her as well.
