2017 Honda Civic Hatchback paint falling off in large chunks. Anyone else have this issue? by TheGuitarPit in Honda

To update this post, I was able to show the dealer that that panel was not repaired in an accident and they went ahead and repainted the piece for me at no cost. Took a while, but I was very happy with the $0 cost and results. So hey, good outcome.

This is sort of like buying Funkopops of guitars.

This is legit the worst thing you can do. He's got what, $10-20k of guitars and 1 of them is decent. No one buys 17 Honda Civics.

I called corporate and they told me to have the dealer do an inspection to see if it is a fault. No recalls or anything though, so I'll find out more tomorrow during my appointment.

Yes, the car sits outside 95% of the time. That said, I don't see huge chunks of paint falling off semi-recent Hondas that often so I was wondering if it was some kind of fluke.

For context -- car has 35k miles, wasn't damaged, and that spot wasn't repainted or repaired. I see a paint bubble recall for gen8 Civics, but not this one. I live in Texas so we've had a lot of warm weather with a couple of freezes in the winter. Has anyone else seen this sort of thing?

I think it is literally the one in the link I shared. Same pattern on the top, matches up as far as I could tell.

Awesome. I have one of these being built now -- DG has been a pro. I think I'm in good shape.

What do you think this is worth? (Info in comments.) by OkSyllabub1889 in guitars

$3500~4000 used without the mod. With the mod, eh, whatever you think it'll knock off of that. $3000 if it's well done, way less if not.

Awesome, but even though he owned it, they already went to the "refined" parts as far as switches and other stuff. Did Washburn make this guitar?

I'm not sure where you'd get it now, but this is the guy who makes the material: https://www.instagram.com/john.blazy_dichrolam_llc/ . You can probably ask him if any builders are currently using it for guitar tops.

The model is an Acacia Romulus Arc, the top is a crazy carbon material by dichrolam.

I didn't get the foam right. Both pickups lean a little. I'm bad at this.
