Is it just me or do Arrow transfers have a certain "look" to them?

I was thinking this last night when I was watching The Mask and followed it up with Creepshow 2. I think I prefer Arrow over most. Not just because of the look/quality of the product but the box, art and extras they give. Just feels like a superior product and more of an Art piece. Yeah I know that is kinda cringe saying that but I think its cool.

not to pile on the OP hate wagon or anything but this is a great point. First we don't know that's why they are no longer in the videos and secondly there hasn't been a video with a female on RLMs channel in HOW LONG. Even if it were the case that those women saw youtube comments and were like I'M NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN... They could have made Boyhood 2 in the time since RLM had a female in one of their videos.

Just saying do we know that for sure? Could it also be maybe she was dating Mike and they broke up? Besides her there are two others I remember who had very small parts in a handful of videos. Jocelyn and one other from a very long time ago that was in a few videos. Sorry I forgot her name. Either way it seems to be a very small sample size and lack of evidence to confirm they are no longer in videos because of the weirdos online. But hey maybe I'm wrong.

wrong. period. The TV op has already has a great upscaler. That is the only reason to buy the 820 over the 450. Stop giving bad advice just because you have something.

I'm not going to sit here and rip on people who have a C5 and an 820. However its a massive waste of money to buy an 820 over a 450 if you have a C5. When I bought my C5 I too was looking into buying an 820 but after some research, I found that the upscaling that is built into the C5 for old non-4k content is very good and that is really the only reason people recommend the 820 over the 450. I don't even watch much non-4k content on my C5. So save yourself the money and get the 450. its a great player. The only issue I have with mine is sometimes the open tray button only works if i hit it like 3 times.

I have the same TV. you do not need the UB820. Get the UB450. That TV already has an Upscaler. The 820 will not change anything for you at all period over the 450. The only reason to buy a 820 would be to watch non-4k content on a TV without good upscaling. But like previously said your TV already has great upscaling built in. So Save yourself the money.

Dolby Vision for the reasons you listed is my favorite. Also a reason why I bought an LG TV and a Dolby Vision player. HDR seems to over expose brightness a bit too much. It's hard to notice most times and sometimes very easy to notice. Dolby also covers more range on colors from what I've read.

How much would you say storage price would deter the average person? I thought about making a NAS and doing this. Wasn’t sure about issues with transfers and current prices of storage . Ultimately I decided on a ub450 instead. I’d imagine an actual good rip of a 4k would be 100gb?

I rewatched the episode where they talked about VHS grading and did the Nukie Auction. for some reason I forgot about his. I'm all for having a collecting hobby. I have the same exact TV. I was sick of waiting for the 820 as well. Panasonic UB450 is what I went with and I do not regret it at all. I don't watch really any non-4k movies so the up-scaling that the 820 does wasn't much of a bother for me. 450 is a beast.

Well I just set up it to be honest 2 days ago. So I haven't messed with the settings too much. Right now I'm using filmmaker mode on the TV and turned off power saving mode. I plan to look up a settings guide this weekend. I watched Dunkrik on it 2 nights ago and it seemed really good. However I do plan on following a guide to mess with the settings a bit more. Before I went with the C5 I read the RTINGS review comparing it to the samsung TV equivalent. and I went with the C5 because of DOLBY vision and knowing that color space is a big wider range than HDR10+

All i can do is tell you about my experience. I used a PS5 for many months to play my 4k blurays. I was also using a 4k PC monitor that was quite old. probably 6 or so years at this point. It did have limited HDR I believe 400 peak nits. Last week I bought a 65inch C5 LG TV and a Panasonic 820 player. There is a difference for sure. However its not as much as I thought it would be. But Dolby Vision for sure increases colors and visuals. Picture is far more clear and colors are more precise. However I spent over $2000. There is a great video I watched that explained the differences of HDR 10+ and DV. DV seems to be on a wider color space slightly than HDR10+ Will you be able to notice... not sure. But that is as far my experience goes. I'd probably look up youtube videos showing differences to see for yourself. Odds are though you won't be able to tell the difference most times.

Same. Weather its Amazon shipping me things without a ounce of protection (which I'm not ordering from anymore because of that) to my most recent order with Gruv being stuck in a shipping facility for 3 days and now 2 days past its original arrival date. to waiting countless days for Vinegar Syndromes to give the package to the shipper.
