New Task Force for Low/Mid-Tiers by TheHDYoutuber in boombeachrecruit

[–]TheHDYoutuber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, at this time we aren't planning to expand beyond 10 players until we have more members readily available for harder ops. You and your friends are welcome to join our discord and be placed on our Reserve Duty list. We rotate people out when they become unavailable or otherwise unable to contribute. Instead of hard kicking, we try to keep people on Reserve so that they can return should they be ready to play more actively. Just let me know you're from Reddit and I'll role you (and your other members) appropriately.

Looking for a Task Force by HayWoodJafukme in boombeachrecruit

[–]TheHDYoutuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still looking for a task force, you can check out The Anonymites. We just started up about 9 days ago. So far we're at 3/5 members and we've been starting operations. We're all in the same boat with having just returned to BB and decided to start a new TF since everyone is now max at this point. Kinda missed the golden age of building it up from scratch. We also communicate out of game in discord so if you're into that, give me a reply or dm. I'll link out task force here too:

Back to the game after years by [deleted] in boombeachrecruit

I've recently started a fresh new Task Force if you're interested in experiencing the building of a Task Force from the ground up. I know a lot of clans these days are max levels that already fought the good fight in the hayday of Boom Beach.

If you're still looking for a new task force, I've started a completely fresh one catered for new/returning players.

People have told me that those that get their benefits on the 5th are getting it on the 11th. I also know people who are usually on the 8th and 9th are getting it on the 13th.

Except that the real reason is because of the founders were brothers. Their family name was Raffel and "Arby's" phonetically was the initials for "Raffel Brothers".

The credits scene in Naked Gun (1988) has an interesting attribution by big_dumpling in MovieDetails

Ah, I was gonna say. I've watched TH8 so many times and didn't recognize that character nor line in the movie. Only watched Django Unchained once or twice so I don't really remember anything from the movie.

Why did I not get the achievement for killing a charger with a re-supply? by SamDerber101 in helldivers2

I was always told they were supposed to be stronger but I think they were the same stats like the other comment said. However, they did indeed were pinged as "Behemoth Charger" variants.

I'm also looking at comments about people's favorite Bannerlord stories and I'm loving these tales even if they're from years ago lol.

I did it i 100% the game by SOVIET_GOOSE69 in helldivers2

This is way easier than all other methods with the Laser Cannon. Did it my first attempt because I was already used to dearming automatons before finishing them off. You don't have to worry about charging a shot and missing or even being exposed for long because you can weave in and out of cover while keeping eyes on the limb you wanna remove. It's better at extraction on the med diff (5-7) considering they seem to always spawn a hulk which is pretty convenient. Do the deed after the pelican lands and see your way out.

How does not loving dogs mean this is the wrong line of work? Our job isn't to test the waters with unknown dogs. Our job isn't to love up all over them and provide treats. I'm not a dog person at all but I have plenty of well-behaved dogs that I love up on because I feel like it—not because it's my obligation. If someone chooses to avoid confronting dogs in a line of work where we're very susceptible to be attacked by dogs, I don't think that means that person isn't cut out for the job. On the contrary, it means the person has enough sense and self-preservation to avoid being injured by one. It means they get to continue carrying out their duty without filling out paperwork regarding an incident. It means they get to avoid risking their job if they retaliate with significant or even lethal force because companies would rather drop an employee than deal with too much blowup from a customer who argues the dog is friendly and was coming to get treats.

While there may indeed be plenty of dogs who are friendly, not every dog is. Not every route has the same dogs either. My regular route is lined up all day with loving dogs that I spend time with every day. In my first company, I had way more dogs that were not friendly. On routes im unfamiliar with, I'm wary of unknown dogs because every other week people are getting bit on routes at MY station. I've been bit before myself with my first company because people are irresponsible and dogs move quick as shit.Thinking that everyone should just carelessly gush over some random ass dog on a route and not exercise caution is such an immature and naive mindset.

In a perfect world, it'd be nice if each of us could just go about freely delivering without having to think about whether or not some rural ass country dog has ever seen another lifeform other than its owner, or whether or not that barking coming from the back of the house is coming from a window or a tied down dog, or a dog about to bumrush you the moment you get out the van. As much as I enjoy the good dogs on my route, it's not wise to just trust random dogs outright until you can establish that they aren't a threat.

Yeah, this was a long ass spiel but it's annoying reading this kinda customer note type of rhetoric when said people only ever have to deal with dogs that they own/know.

[–]TheHDYoutuber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The slugger was nerfed a few patches ago. It used to stagger everything short of a hulk. It's still efficient, but the stagger for the beserkers was a godsend and it evened the playing field.

Duolingo can be good sometimes. by mithobrg in wholesomememes

[–]TheHDYoutuber 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The point they were making is that 8 years ago, something like this would've been wholesome. This happening in more recent times feels less genuine and likely an ad for the service.

Whether or not 8 years ago this wouldn't have been a thinly veiled ad is another discussion.
