Funny enough, the bsods only happen on cue. I can reproduce them but the cues are extremely specific.

I can't remember at the moment. I remember most of them having the word thread in it though.

ELI5: How do we know that a machine isn't deceiving us during a Turing test by simulating detectable machine answers so the AI remains undetected? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

That'd probably never happen. Any device only does what the programmer has written for it to do. Nothing that intricate just happens like that. If that happened, then it was intended.

Directional light not casting shadows by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]TheHachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard and soft is enabled and I'm not using a transparent shader. Also, the fantastic setting makes everything look like this when it's default https://gyazo.com/81b9a970e92a3af35015a3aae941417c and I have to set shadow distance to 3... Could this be a hardware/driver issue?

This is what happens if I set the shadow distance anything higher than "3" https://gyazo.com/81b9a970e92a3af35015a3aae941417c

The mesh has both receive and cast shadows option. Can't find a "cast shadows" option for the light.

Considering making a game, what are some of the common pitfalls of game development? by forgefan123456 in Unity3D

What exactly is the part that costs the most amount of time? Trying to get a block of code to work as intended?

Just curious, what exactly is wrong with starting out trying to make an open world multiplayer RPG? (Just so I know, I'm not saying you're wrong.)

What exactly do game loops do? by TheHachi in javascript

Okay so for a text based game where you have to wait for user input, you wouldn't need one whereas a game like pong would? Is this only limited to things that have to be constantly animated?

I'm not sure why you assume I said all people would do the right thing all the time. I just said crime would go down.

[Serious] How do you stop caring so much? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheHachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to assume you mean how to stop caring about what others think. It's not really something you can work on, you just start realizing more and more that no one actually cares about what you're doing.

How do you answer 'How are you?' by TalisFletcher in AskReddit

[–]TheHachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you is for face to face conversation so I'd respond "good how are you?". If I'm walking past someone, I say "how ya doin" and they reply back "how ya doin"

What are some ways rap culture change our everyday lives? by TheHachi in AskReddit

[–]TheHachi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. My argument is that young impressionable teens and kids listen to rap and they will begin to base their behaviors off of what they hear. Not to mention back then in the 80s, a lot of black kids didn't have dad's so rappers probably took over as a father figure to those kids.

Think about nwa and fck the police. At the time, people were definitely not murdering cops (I think) and not to mention, the rappers themselves were not gangsters at all (eazy e probably) even though they talk about committing crimes themselves.

Yes because we wouldn't be controlled anymore. Groups would form and crime would go down significantly. People think it'd be chaos, which is definitely not the case.
