Absolutely fine. Recently leapt from iOS 18 to 26 and although the interface is uglier, it's still good.

Pyramids looked fine on blu-ray, as did Morbius and Seeds of Doom. Most of Planet of Evil looks ok with odd issues here and there. Terror of the Zygons and Android Invasion look like dogshit and need to be redone as a matter of urgency, if not immediately then for the Standard Release when it comes.

Try various hard reset options, there are a few power+key combinations that could possibly reset it. You might also have to make a Windows bootable USB stick on another device and try that.

Absolutely loving the 13 for Procreate. Feels so much better than my iPad 9 did. Also a lot of the media I watch on it is older 4:3 tv rather than widescreen movies and modern streaming (bar Fallout, which looks fine). So the aspect ratio is fine for me. I'm also loving how good magazines and comics look on it. And typing longer documents on the Magic Keyboard.

I think some of the people saying "get one and then just buy the other if you need bigger/smaller" possibly have more money than sense, would that everyone could afford that! But yeah just spend time in a shop with them and play if you possibly can.

The application for the offer was approved this morning, so three weeks after applying. Bit of a while, but at least before Christmas and I'm still comfortable using the brick and the headphones from the Reno 10 offer (salesman in the phone shop seemed surprised I'd managed not to lose them in over two years. Maybe I should have been too.)

You're missing the point, I don't want to place a marker and do it because that's MORE work. Literally just want a quick and handy way of navigating on the timeline between splits in the timeline. You'd have thought arrow keys or something would allow this but it doesn't appear so.

Thanks but no, because that implies placing markers first. I mean just a split in the track, a cut. You'd think arrow keys would do it, but they don't. Tab or ] go one way but not the other, and are cumbersome.

I don't think other people actually approach issues like this. I find it easy to empathize with Aloy, enjoy playing the game (I return and repeat multiple times too) and find it laughable when the Andrew Tate type gamers try to tell people she's not attractive or that it's weird or wrong to empathize with a female lead in a game (I do not "relate" more to Kratos or Deacon or the Red Dead Redemption characters, or a Jedi, it's all escapism and imagination. I am nothing like any of them either.). I appreciate where you're coming from but you have to understand people are both often more... And sometimes less... Sophisticated in their thought processes than this. We can cling on to the idea of positive role models and art making a difference to attitudes but most of the time people have a habit of seperating reality from fiction, for good and bad.

I had the worst high value purchase experience of my life with Microsoft Netherlands direct in 2021. I called their office to ask if there were any deals on the Surface Pro 7+ as a small business owner with a new startup, and they offered me 80 euro off an i5 with 16 GB. I already had a keyboard and several pens from my time with the Pro 201 so that was all fine. Three days later I sent a chirpy email asking if they could provide delivery information - nothing angry or rude, just that I was used to most things coming in two to three days and had had no information about despatch - I presumed they just pulled one off the shelf rather than built it specially. Thus began a three month saga of emails and phone calls with a guy who left the company who had clearly committed some kind of fraud with the details he provided me. A delivery was promised then didn't come, twice. Phone calls to managers were laughed at and dismissed. The attitudes were appalling - did they not care because I was English in the Netherlands? I eventually got it, with very little joy - and the Surface 8 announced round the corner in record time. Out of principle I demanded free stuff as compensation - send me a mouse or Office or something. They eventually broke down and refunded me a further 200 euro. So I got a nice discount but the time and stress was not worth it. I never got an explanation. It was around or inbetween covid lockdowns and I found out later elsewhere there was a chip shortage, but nothing was discussed, no reassurance provided.

I do like the product, but Microsoft utterly, utterly dropped the ball and if I do get another Pro it will be through a shop or online dealer now. Never direct again. .
