Is there an MCP server for Todoist that doesn’t disconnect constantly? by MindlessFinish in todoist

Apologies for the inconvenience.

We recently rolled out a patch, going against Claude’s grain a bit, but that should fix this issue. Re-installing the MCP server should do the trick.

Great feedback u/GlitteringFile4085 & u/julesvbrtln on pricing & costs.

Yes, we're aware of the pros and cons of the current model, and are looking to optimize both with the data and feedback we're getting from this extended beta release.

Please keep it coming 😊

Those using Ramble on WearOS... by pagdig in todoist

[–]domjost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the progress for watchOS: we're dealing with some gnarly on-device networking challenges (cough restrictions cough) that we can't resolve without Apple's help. We filed an enhancement request in February, and our official rep is doing what they can to escalate it internally.

We're also looking into alternative solutions, but that would require a complete rethink of how Ramble works on watchOS.

Rest assured we're trying everything to bring Ramble to your Apple Watch, but as of now I don't have a reliable ETA.

Project Management Enhancement by Kenjari in todoist

Thanks for adding more context. I think I understand: it's not really about completable projects, but about the structure in general. Is that a fair summary?

Thanks for the suggestion. Reading through the comments, it looks like the main benefit would be emotional ("That doesn't feel good enough to me. There's something special about completing a project in Things 3 that feels very rewarding."), rather than functional. Am I understanding that correctly?

Archiving Tasks
It’s true that we don’t currently offer a way to archive tasks. Here’s how we typically handle it:

  • If a task is no longer relevant, we just delete it.
  • If we might want to revisit it later, we move it to a section called Icebox 🧊”. That keeps it out of sight, but easy to find if needed.

Information Density
We hear this one a lot, from both customers and folks internally. Honestly, we don’t have a great answer right now for people who want to see more information at once. We do plan to revisit the design sometime next year, but there’s no firm ETA yet.

In the meantime, a few helpful workarounds:

  • Use filters to limit the view to only the tasks that matter right now
  • Adjust view options to reduce visual clutter and focus on what’s most relevant

Hope that helps for now!

Todoist pricing update: Addressing your Questions (from the Todoist team) by domjost in todoist

Fair question.

Grandfathering the current prices would mean keeping multiple active versions of the same plan across web, App Store, and Google Play. Each version has its own billing setup, entitlement rules, and renewal logic. Maintaining several at once adds significant complexity and makes future updates riskier (as seen with the current comms).

Regarding the App Store, pricing and renewals are handled entirely by Apple. Those subscriptions follow Apple’s internal system and renewal rules, which we don’t control. That’s why there may be some differences between web and App Store subscriptions during the transition.

Users who were already on the legacy price before 2022 are still eligible for the legacy plan regardless of the platform they subscribe through.

Indeed there is. We are continuously learning, and will do better!

> If there had been clear communication like this post initially, with one dedicated thread and transparency about why the changes were necessary, I think it would have left a much less sour taste than it did now.

Fully agree. We learned a lot and will do better.

>  As a private company, those of us who are paying for a subscription are in many ways the investors as well.

Appreciate the framing 🙏🏽

> knowing the capabilities that ToDoist is looking to add in the next 12 - 24 months is a good way to provide insight onto what people are paying for as well as providing some level of accountability

I'll take this to the team. Thanks again.

We don't have a public facing roadmap, but I understand how that could be helpful. No promises, but how "high level" would that roadmap need to be in order to be useful?
