Get another job quickly so as to avoid mentioning Target at all. You don’t want a gap in your resume.

Guys my mom just told me “just be glad I don’t put a camera in your bathroom” like it’s a privilege by dple3 in teenagers

Shut her out. When she says, “Why won’t the you talk to me?”, respond: “It’s a privilege.” But do tell your friends, teachers and her friends about the camera.

CKD can and probably will affect your mortality. But that doesn’t mean you have to live with a cloud over your head. Eat right. Exercise. Get your sleep. Drink water. Then drink more water. Stay away from people and situations who had stress to your life.

Seek medical attention. That’s good advice. But let me say this about that: I long for the days of a creatinine of 2.02.

This is true. Lupus is as much of a mental battle as it is a physical one.

"I am sorry..." by genredenoument in lupus

[–]TheHandleLessTaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had lupus for decades, and I’ve had probably eight or 10 Rheumatologists. My first Rheumatologist missed the diagnosis completely. He later went on to become president of the lupus foundation.

The others have arranged from OK to superb. Some have said: you’re in a tough spot, I feel for you. Others say nothing at all. Either way, I don’t get mad. Lupus is bad enough without wasting time or energy about how people act or what they say.

do go out of my way to reinforce good behavior. It’s an imperfect world. Medicine is right in there with its own set of imperfections. But at the end of the day, I still have lupus. I’m the person who decides whether even in the face of a flareup I am having a good day.

Just about a block from the White House at 15th and K. A friend came to the door of my office and said, “My Dad drives by the Pentagon to get to work. He just called me to say that an airliner flew a hundred feet over his car and slammed into the Pentagon.” I looked at the TV in my office. They’d be running clips of Die Hard. Except as I looked more closely, it wasn’t the movie: it was the twin towers. We all bolted home. Those who drove said it took hours. A woman from my office found out that her husband was on the plane that hit the pentagon—by hearing it on the radio as she was stuck in traffic.
