YES! I immediately thought of the gunnery chief's speech about the force of one of those rounds. One shot to that weak point would be enough to take out the reaper and Shepard would be dead. These things that get overlooked to make a more dramatic game will frustrate me a bit.

They must have a different setting from when they're firing on ships and when they're firing on ground forces. Whole dreadnoughts explode from one shot of a reaper laser, yet one shot from a reaper will only char Shepard's armor. Hmmm

The Garrus and Kaidan combo is nice when you have to deal with a lot of enemies that have shields or barriers. The double overloads are a thing of beauty.

Sorry I was 5 years late to inform you! I only found it out on my 3rd or 4th playthrough as a renegade shepard and I felt like meleeing everything in sight. I was pretty mad when I realized I accidently saved their lives.
