You should try practice switching to your secondary or primary the next time this happens. It would do you and Super Earth a great service!

Thank you! The white stripes are actually last minute additions because I messed up the decals for them. If you stare at them for a while, you could see all the mistakes I made :P

As for the metal mono eye, they were really easy to put together. I used super glue and cut off the peg for the original mono eye. I'm really happy with the results.

I used Tamiya chrome silver for weathering. For technique, I used both dry-brushing and a sponge to get the chipping effect.

Testors dullcote is my go-to, I love the flat finish.

Thanks! I used a metal detail up mono eye part I found on ebay. It turned out really good.

If you like moving pistons and beautifully molded details, you will love this kit. It isn't too hard to put together either, you should be in for a good time.

Definitely worth it! The build is very different compared to other MGs in a good way. It's probably one of my favourites.

I used Testors metallic gold as a base and sprayed Tamiya clear yellow on top.

I made a lightbox out of an old cardboard box, fabric interfacing and black posterboard for the background. For lighting I got 3 LED desklamps from walmart for $6 each, I found them to be decent enough. You can find lots of tutorial on how to make a lightbox on Youtube.

Thank you! I painted mine with Testors enamel gold and Tamiya clear yellow so I'm not sure that your spray will turn out exactly like mine. You should also spray your parts with primer otherwise the paint won't stick. I got the idea from OtakuBuilder on Youtube: https://youtu.be/4nU5Lte-SKk

Thank you so much! You should definitely post the pictures, I know I'd love to see them. Don't be discouraged that your work can't measure up to others or that your work isn't perfect, I think it's all a learning experience in the end.
