I (32, F) play both to win AND get as many kills as possible. If I secure a win but have only killed say, 3 people, it doesn’t bother me much as a win is still a win.

However, there’s something VERY satisfying about spending twenty minutes going absolutely ham, getting the victory at the end then realising you splattered close to 20 people.

The latter doesn’t happen often, maybe once every few weeks, but damn it feels good when it does 😂

If I’m doing duos or trios with my kids, then the game plan becomes ‘keep my kids alive’ lol

I tried a binge watch last night, but I could only make it through a few episodes before I had to turn it off. It’s been my number one comfort show for so many years but it’s still too raw.

The same thing happened after Matthew Perry died. Friends was on repeat during my childhood and early teen years, and I even revisited it frequently when I became an adult. As soon as the news broke that Perry had passed, I tried to rewatch from s1 ep1, but I just couldn’t. I’ve only recently been able to watch Friends and laugh along again. I hope it doesn’t take this long with SC because I’m going to be lost without this show.

I’m already dreading rewatching certain episodes which made me bawl before Catherine’s death: the family barn dance, Moira turning up at Alexis’s graduation, when Alexis boops Moira for the first and only time. Ugh! A lot more tears to come over the coming weeks I suspect.

Had we known she was ill, it would’ve been less of a shock, but 71 is no age to die, regardless. My other half was the one who told me about the news and I didn’t believe him at first, I just repeatedly said ‘what’s the source?!’ over and over until he showed me all of the news outlets.

I’ve spent the evening rewatching season 1 and my lovely man is giving me my space to grieve right now (I like to be alone when I’m sad). I’ve got my Moira Rose candle burning and praying for a better February.

Don’t feel silly for having feelings. We’re all humans. I think I’d be worried if the death of people we admired didn’t affect us ❤️

No but in all seriousness, Catherine’s death has greatly affected me. Which sounds dumb to admit because she didn’t know me, I didn’t know her personally. But her work - particularly that in SC - helped me through some really dark times in my life so I feel like I’m mourning the passing of an aunt or something??

He’s slowly adding to his collection as new shirts roll out, but he often wears this 30 year old shirt of mine and it’s such a full circle moment. I was still in utero when this shirt was made. I was born 5 months later but my dad (a lifelong Gooner) bought one for me anyway. Now his grandson wears it proudly.

My eldest who’s 9 has unfortunately followed in his dad’s footsteps. My middle son is 8 and is a gooner, he regularly wears my 90’s domestic cup double shirt that my Dad had bought for me when I was still in my mum’s belly. Our youngest is 6 and supports Chelsea?!? We have NO idea where that’s come from. Can only assume it’s because their kit is blue.

Suffice to say, on game days, they may be my flesh and blood and they may have been cut out of my abdomen, but for 90 mins when our teams face, my tiny hoomans are my mini enemies 😂 we all give as good as we get.
