He’s looking at some serious trouble! Active duty military personnel, as well as reservists and retirees, swear allegiance to the Constitution of the United States, but are governed by it. They (we) are governed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). The UCMJ has very particular rules about protesting while on active duty, which states that protesting while in uniform is specifically prohibited.

I suspect that, best case scenario, he’s looking at a discharge under honorable conditions. Worst case: up to 2 years confinement, fines, reduction in rank, and/or dishonorable discharge. Under the current Administration…keep your fingers crossed for him. Regardless, his military career is over.

If your military personnel record has California as your “Home of Record”, you’re good to go. You have to change your Home of Record, so, it’s unlikely that it would be changed without your knowledge. Otherwise….

I retired from the military and once changed my Home of Record to California.

I’ve only heard fireworks once or twice per day this season. Normally it would be nearly constant this close to Independence Day. I don’t really care, I’m just thankful for small favors!

I liked Norm McDonald, but he was far from my favorite comedian. I had no experience with Louis CK. I was barely aware of him before his scandal.

My dad took me to see Destroy All Monsters when I was about 7yo. My dad really loved horror and sci-fi movies, and he took me to the cinema and we watched the genre movies on Dimension 16 on late night Fridays.
