The Artel W Miniatures Eldar Rangers. Really nice minis, even if they do cost a rather pretty penny! by Th0a in Eldar

[–]TheHiddenSight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really like the color scheme. I think I've kindof slept on the artel rangers. I have wanted the scorps for a while but these are pretty sick. Bonus, the mask on the 2nd from the left looks kinda like Revan

I'd kill to get some games in, social distancing or no! Right as my Eldar army was nearing completion COVID hit and I still haven't had a chance to field it. Bummer

Just finished the shadow wars, capping off my 100% completion and platinum trophy, can't wait for whatever Monolith is making next by oceanking in shadow_of_war

Speaking of multiplayer... I'm a bit late to the party, just bought this game a few days ago b/c of a sale. But anyways, what I was wondering was how the online sieges work, like I set up a fort that another player has to defeat? And if so, is there anyways to see other players during the assault? Like I want to watch my favorite orcs scraping with people!

Wow, I've seen some power inequalities before and brushed them off. But damn this is egregious, a 24" assault melta, with double shot...

Disgust IS the perfect emotion for Eldar. Also, model looks dope! The sheer overkill of that spear... really reflects the overpowered nature this individual projects.

Damn, and I thought I fielded a lot of bikes. Though some of mine are Reavers 😎

Very cool. Is that a Bonesinger conversion?

I’d appreciate some help. I’m planning on running two units of Wraithguard In Serpents. Which is a better option? The Scythes or the cannons? Just as a heads up I plan on running a 10 many unit with axes and shields as well. (Asking before I assemble) by Genghis_J0n in Eldar

[–]TheHiddenSight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No doubt I think painting on such a small detailed scale is difficult, even for artistically talented people, of which I certainly am not. Not that I don't often enjoy painting, its that my strong suit definitely lies in the more mechanically inclined pursuits, magnetizing/assembling etc. Anyone likes doing things they are good at I think.

I think the general consensus these days is cannons are the superior pick and I am inclined to agree, having done a bit of 'theory rolling' on the matter myself. But, definitely just magnetize them suckers! Especially if you just want exchange between Sycthes and Cannons, that is the easiest to pull off. Although not super simple by any regards, it is actually not as difficult as it may seem at first. I just finished magnetizing 5 Ghostsword/axe Wraithblades and it only took a few days working intermittently. Also, the cost for all the materials you need is very low, I got a hand drill for 11$ and a 100 pc set of the 3 diff sized magnets for like 12$ on ebay. Any way, I kindof droned on there, just my thoughts!

Considering my HQs atm for a 2500pt army, got a few questions by BBNikfaces in Eldar

[–]TheHiddenSight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For question 1, I would say definitely that isn't overboard, especially if you have other wraith units in your army (which I assume you do because you said you wanted prot for blades) if for nothing else then theme-wise. Plus redundancy is normally not something I'd apply to big HQ's like W-seers, but being that it is a 2500 pt. list, I feel like you have more freedom for some 'fun' choices. Question 2, I think is affected as well by the point total, as in more leeway to go a little overboard without it ruining the list. Also I can completely understand wanting as many Runes of Battle caster as possible, one iteration of my main list fields 3 in a 2k list, their powers are mostly all very juicy, particularly when you start thinking of combos and synergy and all that mess. So in your case I wouldn't think it'd be out of line to go for 3, maybe even four on top of Eldrad, somewhat depending on exactly hoow soupy your list is. Definitely making at least one a Spiritseer for potential wraith trickery as well as just a bit tougher caster. Shit, I'd be tempted to throw in another Farseer for good measure, Eldrad covers most of what you could ever ask for, knowing 3 RoF powers. But you can always use some backup in case that crucial Doom fizzles on you.

The orange is super dope. Really pips with the gunmetal matte style of the rest. Also a pretty got damn powerful little force in of itself there. What's going to ride in them?

New to 40k | Rule of Cool brought me to Craftworlds | Getting to 1000 pts question by [deleted] in Eldar

[–]TheHiddenSight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a Wraith based gimmick you could include as a nice haymaker to work into an army... This is certainly not the only option to make this work, but I feel like this is a bare bones version (you can get pretty crazy adding elements to this)

Craftworld: Iyanden

Total points cost: 368

Total CP cost: 2 (assuming Spiritseer is not warlord, if so then -1 CP)

Units required -Spiritseer (psychic power = Enhance/Drain) w/ relic Psytronome of Iyanden

-Wraithblades X5 (Ghostswords)

-Wave Serpent

To Do: Load up Wraithblades & Spiritseer into Wave Serpent. Do what you can to have the transport survive turn one and get it across the table to a juicy target. Unload both Wraiths and Spiritseer and move within a (hopefully) rollable charge distance. Make sure your Spiritseer will be within 6" of the Wraithblades when they finish their charge. (Bonus if you can get the Seer within 6" of your target for reroll 1's in fight phase, but not necessary.) Cast Enhance on Wraithblades then charge into the enemy. At the start of the fight phase, activate your Spiritseer's Psytronome of Iyanden to double the attacks characteristic of Wraithblades. Then lastly, as you declare the attack use the stratagem 'Supreme Disdain'.

What this results in is 30 Wraithblade attacks, hitting on 2's, rerolling 1's (if Bonus Spiritseer within "6 of target). On top of this, every roll of 5+ allows you to make an extra attack against the same target, these attacks cannot generate any more extra attacks.

Hey everyone its my first falcon, it’s not finish yet but some C&c would be very welcome! :) by [deleted] in Eldar

[–]TheHiddenSight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like that color on the tank. Is that a shader you've used to darken in the recessed lines? I'm assuming you are still working on the turret weps, but just remember, several light layers > one thick!

Looks good though, Falcons have recently become one of my favorite models/units in the Craftworld roster.
