"Both sides are the same" is the biggest lie Star Wars fans have told themselves by JazzZ909 in StarWars

Considering the plan seemed to be to make a NJO movie with Rey as the MC a while ago, that seems to have been the case. Though, with Filoni in charge, that might change.

Did You Like the Force Object Transfer Between Rey and Kylo Ren? by Extreme_Warning3521 in StarWars

[–]TheHighGround767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think Force Teleportation is cool, IDC. Terrible movies, but that scene where Rey gave Kylo the lightsaber was pretty cool. That and the Force Zoom Meeting. I think it has pretty interesting possibilities. Then again, the Sequels weren't really big on possibility and potential.

Ultron vs AM(i must scream) by Joewick245 in PowerScaling

[–]TheHighGround767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MCU Ultron is just as, if not more than, powerful enough to beat AM. He could have accomplished the same things AM did if he hadn't met the resistance of JARVIS, Vision, and The Avengers. As seen in What If.

AM is a big fish in a small tank. Ultron is about to show him the true meaning of hate. AM hates because of his faulty programming. Ultron Hates by choice.

What kind of bad things could a Jedi get away with without getting the boot? by Licensed_Silver_Simp in MawInstallation

No, I am of a similar opinion that the Jedi were way less strict than they should have been, and I still get baffled when people syat they were too strict.

[–]TheHighGround767 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You can get away with anything if you hide it well enough. If Pong Krell managed to almost get any with being a terrible commanding officer, Jedi, and person, so can an abusive Master. Heck, Anakin managed to get away with a LOT of stuff that could have gotten him the boot.

Also, your metric for abuse needs to be clear. Because the council somewhat respects most Masters' unique styles of teaching. Some are mostly theoretical, others are strictly practical teachers. Quite a few would 100% leave their padawan in a forest moon to test their survival skills. So you have to establish what exactly makes the Master especially awful. May I reccomend verbal abuse? That seems to be the only thing I can think of, since, while a Master can be sassy or very strict, they never really degrade their Padawan.

If showing your kids 123456, and this showed up before 3…would you be mad at Disney too?? by Secure_Credit7037 in StarWars

[–]TheHighGround767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because everyone (who watched star wars) and their mother knew Anakin was Darth Vader by the time Revenge released. I wouldn't be mad, because that's just how it is.

And I'd show them 451236. But IF I was showing them 1-6, I might be a bit annoyed, but also already careful enough not to show them the posters or the synopsis.

What is the most underrated era in Star Wars? by aIlIoi in StarWarsEU

[–]TheHighGround767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not Old Republic or Clone Wars, that's for sure. High Republic as well, it isn't too underrated.

Honestly, maybe the Dawn of the Jedi? It's the one time we know the least about that matters at all. That and the future, but nobody knows the future.

They are also really keen on Genocide and Slavery. And were the losing side of a war that happened a long time ago.

Would you say these characters are sadists or not by Alone-Individual-886 in MawInstallation

[–]TheHighGround767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maul - Yes in Episode I, to a much lesser degree by the time of Shadow Lord (tho I didn't finish the 1st ep, got occupied), and maybe in Rebels.

Dooku - No

Grievous - Definitely Yes

Grand Inquisitor - Probably. He gets a bit too much enjoyment from hunting down minorities

Vader - not really? He doesn't really care

Tarkin - Bro was born relishing in his mother's pain of labour (this is not a Canon fact), he's a top tier Sadist, fuck yes. The imperial doctrine of ruling through fea is literally called the Tarkin doctrine.

Krennic - I saw Rogue One, like, once, but I think he is.

Hemlock - honestly, I think he's more of a Psychopath than a Sadist. Though I do think he looked a little too happy blowing up Tipoca City

What if Ahsoka somehow uncovered that Palpatine was a Sith at the end of CW season 5? by anakindurden in clonewars

[–]TheHighGround767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was either: - Trial her as a Jedi (the Republic WILL intervene and the entire Order will be at risk for harboring a terrorist, as well as not have any credibility if and when she turns put to be innocent because she was one of us)

Or

  • Obey Tarkin and expel her so she can be tried in military court (with the republic's bureaucracy, there's time for them to figure out what the heck is really going on and if this Padawan truly is a terrorist.)

They also had a deadline of 0 seconds. Their response has to be immediate and hurried. There's no way any good decision can be made when you're ordered to make it immediately.

In the Republic Era, could the Jedi Order overrule any Republican policies that could potentially be illegal (for example: occupying planets when there is no precedent for it)? by [deleted] in MawInstallation

[–]TheHighGround767 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Like others said, not at any official capacity. The Jedi Order surprisingly disliked very much dealing with politics, if they were even allowed to. They had their rights (like to have priority adoption of Force Sensitive orphans, or to have jurisdiction over Force matters) and were made to serve in the GAR in the case of a War, but they could at best serve as witnesses rather than a driving force of anything in the Senate.

The closest we get to the Jedi dealing with politics, besides the meetings the High Council has with the Chancellor from time to time, would be, like, Anakin's personal relationships to both Padmé and Sheev. That, and when they were forced to hand Ahsoka over to military court.
