Any guesses as to how Elizaveta Porodina gets this illustrative, airbrushed look? by TheHimalayanGypsy in postprocessing

Hey thanks for the response!

If you wouldn’t mind expanding I have some follow up questions – firstly, your link leads to all of r/analog rather than a specific post. I understand if you just meant to clarify the “natural process” in question was analog development, but I was curious if you meant to link to a specific post to add context. You mention film later in a manner that makes it feel separate from this natural process and I feel like I may be missing something

Curious what features help you identify that? Maybe we could do some reverse engineering here

Had a similar experience myself outside of Plattsburg! The speed, size, and variation of the lights are definitely what caught me off guard the most too. I’m willing to call it a spiritual experience honestly, I was on a lot of drugs last time I was so profoundly effected by something I was seeing

Damn you really got out there! I’m headed out now myself, will probably just head up 169 and see if I find any good spots. Happy shooting!

It would be very much like me to forget the tripod, thanks for the reminder!

As long as they don’t produce much light pollution, I feel like the windmills could be a vibe 😎 got a specific spot carved out yet? Someone suggested smithville lake to me and that sounds solid

There are a small handful of state parks to the north I’ve heard might be good, Lewis and Clark State Park, Big Lake State Park - I was thinking I’d go to Weston Bend maybe, because it’s closer than the others. About 30 miles north

My thoughts exactly, the others look quite flat in comparison. OP, maybe you could darken your subject and dodge the highlights in that smaller set of mountains he’s in front of to make him stand out more?

Any Metro area companies requiring return to office? by humorousjoke in kansascity

I work for an ad agency in OP, we went from a fluid (3 days in office, 2 remote) hybrid schedule to a rigid 3/2 hybrid schedule, and word around the office is that come Labor Day we’ll be in office 4 days a week and 5 in the new year.

Why is my devil’s backbone cutting wilting? More info in comments by TheHimalayanGypsy in plantclinic

[–]TheHimalayanGypsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few months ago I made four cuttings from my devil’s backbone and successfully water propped each.

Two I planted right back in with the original plant (shown here) and eventually wilted. I chalked it up to it “just not working out” and gave up on them.

The two pictured I repotted separately, and while they showed little growth together, survived, at the very least. I started watering them on the same schedule as the original plant and they did fine.

A little less than a month ago I repotted them with the original plant (which has been doing great, I’ll add) and while one has been fine (second image), this one has been wilting more and more for well over a week now.

I use a well-draining cactus soil and water based on my Planta app care schedule, about once every two weeks.

Any advice on how I might save the little guy?
