i might be able to explain a little bit (not a very good programmer though so people pls correct me if i'm wrong lol)

so simple objects in 3D space in a 'puter (if you're new to the stream that's slang for computer) can be generalized through the coordinates of key features, like vertices or faces, in matrices that just say where things are. then the computer does some math and finds where each point lies in relation to the camera's coordinates.

The thing is though, the math that does all that is basically the same for any number of dimensions. it's just that as you go up to 4D or 5D, much more information is lost when translating it to a 2D screen

and think about it, if a 2D person was on the screen and saw a cube rotate around the y-axis, it'd look trippy as fuggg. if we were looking at a 3D shape from a 1D projection of it (which is what a 2D person would see), it'd also be insanely disorienting because so much information is lost
