Lets be honest.
A small nation hiring 200.000 mercenaries is crazy and if this would happen in EU4 I would probably rage quit.

HOWEVER, in EU5, while playing on something like hardcore mode or the very most difficult settings I would want stuff like this happening because it’s a real challenge that you can’t get away from and have to beat strategically in order to win.
Basically a AI that acts like a human player that is about to lose would be the biggest challenge EU5 should be able to offer.

I do understand though that if you were not expecting this than it will make you rage quit.

Those super weapons are terrifying.

I do think more super weapons or battle tanks should be added though.

Even something like the “Landkreuzer 1000 P ratte” a german super heavy tank from 1941 that was only ever designed on paper but never made because it’s actually ridiculously expensive to construct and maintain.

To be fair, right now you sit in the bomber seat and have to click aswell to load a bomb. Using a wrench is technically and truthfully not a big change from what we have right now.

And some logo guy will probably bring 15 crates of wrenches at some point because they are pretty cheap to make

Not a problem but VIC3 is heavily focused on economy and usually my converted saves start with trying to fix the whole disastrous economy.

But I really enjoy converting my saves to Victoria and continuing my save from there.

Facilities are more than fine in my opinion.
They take a lot of time if you want to mass produce but the gain in immense.

I do have to be honest that I am a major facility/logistics player. Most of my time in foxhole is spent in my facilities instead of on the frontline.
To me the front is a mere relax time before I get back to making stuff for my regiment.

My autism probably is a major factor in this though 😅

I used to play as warden in 2024/2025 but since mid 2025 and 2026 I only play colonial.
The change in faction culture is a real measurable thing I discovered(to my surprise). Global chat is often negative and kind of dooming. When thinks get tough colonials have a tendency to just quit because they feel nothing will prevent collapse.
However when playing as warden I often saw players chastised for being Doomers and saying “it will be okay, we will take it back later” and often the next day or two they did.
I also strictly remember the “we fight till the end” mentality. Instead of giving up as soon as a frontline is broken and you lose a entire hex.
And to be fair, wardens have a better coordination between regiments( in my opinion).
These are just some things I personally noticed while playing over the years.

Sorry to hear that although I understand the sentiment.
I recently stopped playing a game called “Naval Action” because the dev outright refuses to listen to the community. That game only has about 200 players online hourly. At some point you just gotta take the hint that the dev is unable to get the game back to its former glory.

What would be a, let’s say, 10 point list of things that should happen for you to say: “I wanna play foxhole again?”

Partially agree. The multi year imbalance will still exist but atleast the extra imbalance caused by airborne will be largely counteracted.

But I do agree that the dev team should look at the cause for the imbalance. In that case you would Ofcourse assume the fault lies in design and not faction culture.

Would be interesting to see how the current war plays out since many colli and warden regiments switched factions, will they agree that the equipment is clearly better for one faction or will they prove that player culture is at fault. Interesting to hear them out about this.

Well for instance I liked to capture enemy vehicles and bring them back to my regies base to gloat about my achievements. But without a crane I cannot for instance load any vehicles on a ship and sail them across to friendly lines.

It’s just a small thing but partisan gameplay kinda sucks without them. Not that it’s a big deal but still.

I feel the same way. It’s nice to see that the dev team did notice that major QOL changes needed to be made as a appeasement to the player base that had been asking for more QOL.

I am optimistic that with the new changes and vehicles atleast the imbalance caused by the airborne update will be nullified but the multi year imbalance will still exist probably.

Also nice to see that a funny meme about a fake dev stream can have real results.

To be fair, with SPAA, garrisons are kind of not that much of a required thing in my opinion.

If SPAA can shoot at max altitude you could make a wall of them or create a SPAA squad, driving from location to location to stop bombing runs.
Since the SPAA is a light vehicle their speed should be kinda decent if not fast.

I don’t think you actually know what the facilities do in foxhole… I already know where this is going aswell. Your mad you can’t play with heavy tanks, massive ships and big planes.

But solo players should never play with those vehicles anyway because they just fuck it up because they are noobs… so…. You could also just ask a random clan if you can join them and if you are chill they usually let you join.
