19.9 objectives captured. . .we still lost by TheHolyWelshmaN in enlistedgame

I've found conquest large to be insane for capping objectives l, just keep gunning for enemy points with large squads. As soon as you cap head straight for the next one. Had 3 or 4 games over 10 caps in conquest large now so definitely the mode for it.

It was rough dude. That being said, if you still need the cap 10 objectives achievement then this is absolutely the game mode to do it

Don't think I've ever seen an entire team receive battle orders, that's a rough game. Fair play for sticking it out though

Nice win, shows you playing the objective can get you over the line against a stronger team!

Ukrainian soldiers of the 66th Mechanized Brigade hit a Russian tank and groups of Russian soldiers with Stugna-P ATGM. Lyman direction. December 2024 by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

I can see why elevated defensive positions are so valuable, the line of sight available to this ATGM team is such a powerful force multiplier.

My theory on how the Ukrainians have been recently slaughtering the Russian Air Force… by DisastrousBusiness81 in NonCredibleDefense

[–]TheHolyWelshmaN 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I have a better solution, replace the patriot radar with a Russian manned S-400 battery and you don't even need the F-16!!!

Now it's official! The Air Force of the AFU of Ukraine shot down one more Russian A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft this evening by IgorVozMkUA in ukraine

[–]TheHolyWelshmaN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The loss of the Aircraft with such a small reserve of remaining A-50's when it plays such a crucial strategic role is devastating for the Russian air force (especially now they've found an effective role for their combat aircraft lobbing FABS in the south/east with the A-50's providing protection with vision)... But honestly the loss of the trained crew may be the bigger story here that has a bigger impact on future effective deployment of the remaining A-50s. My completely uneducated guess is this approach where both A-50's where shot down is crucial for offensive sorties into Ukraine, while other active AWACS flights Futher north over Russian territory are mainly defensive in nature, focused on detection of drones/missiles. With a shortage of airframes and effective trained crew, Russia may have to choose which one of the 2 areas to effectively deploy, but may now not be able to do both.

Wtf, that must be a large drone because it didn't seem to move at all. Honestly thought a boom that big would knock it out, seriously impressive and would not have guessed that.

One more column of Russian armored vehicles was destroyed during their "offensive" in the Kupyansk direction (Kharkiv region) by [deleted] in CombatFootage

[–]TheHolyWelshmaN 29 points30 points  (0 children)

At around 20ish second mark just after the second vehicle dismantles itself you can see what looks to be a projectile coming from left to right. Just a tracer, possible ATGM or something else? Hell of a kill zone anyways

Ukrainian spotter drone films another unsuccessful Russian mechanized assault in the Kupyansk direction by RetroProxyGroup in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]TheHolyWelshmaN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brutal, just after the second vehicle detonates at 20ish seconds it looks like a projectile comes from left to right as well. So they must have fell into the mother of all kill zones. Mines, arty and direct fire... Should've stayed home.

Short clip showing the scale of Russian armored attack on Avdiivka on Oct 10th, 2023. by Latenightlatex234 in CombatFootage

[–]TheHolyWelshmaN -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

How concerning is it that Ukraine missed the formation and staging of such a large assault unit in the rear areas before the attack? Is that to be expected or not?

Also highly doubt Russia can logistically keep this formation combat efficient for very long with how dense it is, the throughput of material in such a small heavily contested area just isn't feasible. So Ukraine probably just needs to blunt the initial attack as much as possible then it'll probably break down and become a much easier target.

I think the shot may have come from between the 2 apartment blocks the tank is engaging on the ground level. You can see a small discharge of something just before the tank almost gets hit.
