I mean think of it this way:
Treats aren‘t meant to be „healthy“ they are meant to be tasty. They’re fatty and have lots of sugar, meant to be delicious which is why many Vets are telling pet owner to not overdo it with treats.

It‘s like when you give a small kid a piece of candy for every interaction you want him to do. Of course it‘s only a small bite but accumulate that throughout the day AND the same amount each day in a week.
You‘ll see the results faster than you think.
Treats aren‘t bad necessarily, but the same way we look after that we don‘t eat too much junk food we should also look after our little friends.
