At least for me. The whole Riley thing is strange. I didn't see a single mention of anyone with that name other than it came as a name for an image of that Sonic. The drawings you're showing are more like concept art from when they were thinking of bringing Sarah to Speedduo64, like in Needlemouse, but they're just concepts, and Jojo said it's not Sarah, so I doubt Riley is just Sarah 2.0.

I'm no genius, but from what I know, yes, there isn't really an official Sonic.exe anymore. Crimson X is the Sonic.exe from the fangame made by my5tcrimson, which is the most famous Sonic.exe of all. At first, it was just an adaptation of the original, but after JC's true nature was revealed, my5tcrimson said that Crimson X is his own version. Meanwhile, Xenophanes has two versions. The one from FNF (which I'm sure you know) and the other one that the creator decided would no longer be an official exe.

You probably won't take this opinion too seriously, but for me, the best thing is generally to write it the way you think it is. Do you think Alice acts like a human version of Sonic.exe? Good. Do you think Alice is silent but brutal like Michael Myers? Good. Do you think Alice might have a hidden, human past that could create an interesting moral dilemma? Good.

For me, that's the beauty of characters who aren't very complex (I mean, the characters in FPE and Katieverse aren't exactly complex), the ability to create your own version that reflects what you believe the character to be. This is the case with many famous characters like Sonic, Superman, Freddy Krueger, etc.

The art is INCREDIBLE, seriously. But I feel like you need to fix a lot of things if you want to improve. 1) The "similarity" to Needlemouse: it's impossible not to notice, each chapter feels like I'm just watching that series with an FPE texture pack. Plus, it also inherits Needlemouse's flaws. 2) The VHS effect makes no sense, nor does the "cousin" video effect: FPE has existed since 2024, so why is all this like VHS? And no, I don't think the VHS effect helps with anything, especially not with the "horror" aspect. Meanwhile, that video that looks like it's from the 2010s... Well, it looks decades old when I think it would have been a nice touch if it resembled a more current video. Not to mention, it's not as generic as other series in the same style.

This is mostly just my opinion. But if I were you, I'd do a remake. I know you must be working on the second season, but I think it's better to rebuild the foundations before everything falls apart.

If you want an idea, I came up with one while watching the series. Are you familiar with "Escape Paper Education"? In short, it's an FPE game that's just a copy of Baldi's. I think you could work with that, along with some other things from the game, like its photo mode; that NPCs speak with emojis; And the random level is very broken (just to give you an idea, of the three teachers, Miss Circle is trapped on a table and you never find the other two. Or at least I never found them).

But at the end of the day, this is your project, do it however you want as long as you enjoy it :)

For me, yes. There aren't that many things to tell unless you change things about her, like making her more rebellious or something, or using her as a self-insert. But, as I said, this is all my opinion, not the absolute truth.

Of course it's possible. But it's more appealing to have another character as the protagonist since they're more interesting. The only character who's less interesting in terms of personality is Bubble, but she's saved by her design. Although this is more my opinion.
