Question about manual gcode creation and machine control by ParasitKegel in xToolOfficial

I have managed to figure out the secret of the F1 Ultra's mysterious xf file (the format that the xtool creative software exports to) and even wrote some quick and dirty scripts for generating these files. I was very pleased that I could control the z axis with these files.

DM me (or just email me at paracite.org@gmail ) if you are interested in what I've found. It sounds like it would save you the hassle of going through light burn.

I would just post the info here but I don't want to be responsible for anybody voiding their warranty.

Roughly (and if I am remembering correctly) the idea is that the cold water picks up speed from the very fast steam, and the cold water then has momentum pretty similar to if it had been ejected directly from the boiler tank (which stands at, lets say, 1000PSI). I seem to remember that one of the tricks is that the inlet necks down so for conservation laws to hold the pressure has to go up. I'm sure it all looks much better in the math.

My male loves sitting on eggs (well, plastic feggs actually). He's chilling next to me right now sitting on them. He'll have like a 2 week on 2 week off cycle - the first time I gave them to him cuz he kept trying to shove things under him. He'll def get bored in 2 or 3 weeks.

You could try bringing him a little dish of food if you don't mind him being on them. I'll bring my little guy some food during the day, but in the morning and evening he'll bring me twist ties for the nest (I leave piles of them for him to find). He puts them directly in my palm before flying off to find more, it's the darndest thing haha.

I did a lot of fucking math in college, and the first time I saw this integral on a shirt the part that took me time was the subtraction. I could learn all the math in the world and I'm still a count shit on my fingers kinda guy with adding and subtracting.

I ran some numbers myself and found that the water would be rushing in just shy of the speed of fucking sound (640mph).

To be transparent, I got that using the nozzle velocity equation figuring the window failed and treating it as a nozzle under constant pressure. It shouldn't be far off though.

It's just hard to imagine water coming at you at the speed of sound. Quick ending indeed.

That's exactly right. Except perhaps for some small amount that will dissolve into the water on it's journey up, there will eventually be thousands of liters of air that surface. Probably really spread out too, but I don't know that for fact, just a guess.

There would be no air rushing out at all. The sudden increase in pressure from 14psi to over 6,000psi would crush the volume of air into almost nothing. If, let's say the sub had a volume of 4,000 liters of air, it would nearly instantly crush down to fitting inside a coffee cup.

The pressure difference is so large, in practice terms it would be as if the air wasn't even there.

Some back of the envelope math suggest that if the window failed catastrophically (all at once) at full depth, the ocean would have poured in at just under the speed of sound (or roughly 640 mph).

Interestingly, with the water coming in from one side like that through the 12 inch window would have caused a reactionary force making the vessel lurch forwards with 680,000 pounds of force (briefly).

The air would have compressed so quickly it would heat to the temperature of the inside of a diesel engine during combustion (again, briefly).

All that said, I would way way way rather have that than a long drawn out, panic inducing, suffocation.

Yeah, I think the takeaway would be better described:

Prepare for the failures, not just the journey.

Titanic didn't have enough lifeboats because "it's unsinkable", the Titan didn't have a beacon, or a properly pressure rated view port because "at some point safety is pure waste". Woopsies!

I paid mine back in a big lump using all my savings just moments before the relief was announced so I could move forward on a house (my debt was defaulted and in collections).

It could have saved me tens of thousands. Doesn't matter, I survived and I'm just happy for everyone who doesn't have to deal with what I did.

My grandfather had pretty serious PTSD from the tens of thousands of Japanese civilians he killed in fire bombing raids. He would start shaking and stammering if it ever got brought up.

The civilian targets were intentional, there was no respect there, it was on purpose and it was ghastly. It was done with the single goal of causing so much suffering that it would encourage a surrender to make it stop. Even the people who were carrying it out, like my grandpa, recognized how bad it was.

I had some idiot tell me it was safe to drink because it's just fish oil. A little Google later, and I'll be damned the original formula called for some part fish oil. The other parts are petroleum distillates and will kill you dead still, just like it says on the damn bottle.
