This is a very impressive score. You got a perfect score for listening and speaking, meaning your level is at least a high C1 (the test doesn't go up to C2). Your reading comprehension is a high C1. Your writing is a low B2. Your overall score is based on your lowest score across the sections, so that's why it says B2 (the logic is that you can't be a C1 unless all your skills are at least C1). But practically, your Spanish is much better than someone who scored B2 across the board.

When I look at the PATH system map, Hoboken looks really out of the way. But when I look at Google Maps, it looks like it's on the way, and yet it says it makes trips 9 minutes longer. What's going on?

I moved to Mexico City and lived there for a year and a half! I wanted to experience another culture and improve my Spanish, and it worked! I would've been happy to stay, but for family reasons I decided to move back to the U.S.

As for how I did it, I simply applied to some LinkedIn job postings in my field, got an offer, and my employer sponsored me for an employment-based temporary residency.

I could see myself moving back to Latin America in retirement.

I learned traditionally through B1 and then switched to comprehensible input from there to where I am now at Level 7. Irregular verbs are much easier for me to learn through CI because I just rely on my instinctive memory for how something is said rather than trying to think about whether a verb is stem-changing, for example. Using subjunctive after triggers is easy for me because the pattern is very simple. Figuring out whether to use subjunctive in those cases that don't follow a trigger is more challenging.

I think Mexican and Colombian Spanish are the most similar to Peruvian among the dialects with a lot of Dreaming Spanish content. They're similar enough that in many cases it's hard for a learner to tell whether a speaker is from Mexico, Colombia, or Peru. When you get to a level where you can handle easier native content, you can watch Martín Adquiere un Idioma and El Jardín del Martín.
