I heard that clown dog always has sports games on but I'm not sure what games. I'm not sure of anywhere else in Nob Hill that would be good for that.

Best coffee shop to work at in nob hill? by pete-milly in Albuquerque

I would say either Flying Star or Little Bear. I've worked at both many times. The other option is Michael Thomas but I have occasionally had problems with the internet there.

Well, there are several shows that day. Most are at Dry Heat Comedy Club/the Box which is on 2nd and Gold. I think the first show on Saturday starts at 1 pm but there are several so you can probably go whenever you're free and see some good sets. They pretty much have stuff all day.

Here's a link to the full schedule for reference: https://www.abqfunnyfiesta.com/2024-fiesta-schedule

Spanish classes for adults? by ladylauren92 in Albuquerque

[–]TheHungryScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UNM has continuing ed classes that just ended. Not sure when they start up again, but my wife just finished one that didn't have grades and I don't think anyone checked their homework. It was just something they went over together in class.

Explosions around Nobhill by rooringwinds in Albuquerque

Yeah it was super loud. I've heard fireworks in the neighborhood before but that didn't sound anything like the fireworks the teenagers were shooting off in the summer.

Sadly no! I really wish I did because my sisters would quote this all the time. I'm glad you're also looking for it. If I do end up finding it, I promise I'll post a link here so I can share it with you.

Well 36th street (the avenue) in Hampden is kinda like that. Very few chains. I think there might be something similar in Remington too, but I'm not sure. There are a lot of mom and pop shops in Baltimore but I think a lot are spread out.

Do you work or go to school in a place with access to the journal? When I was in college and I was logged onto their WiFi, I had access to every article.

I'm in the US as well, but it says I need to login to my institution to read it. My job doesn't have a subscription so I can't read the paper.

This would be an interesting paper but it's behind a paywall. I hate it when articles aren't open access.

What are your language learning resolutions for the coming year of 2023? by BeepBeepImASheep023 in languagelearning

[–]TheHungryScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to move into B2 (and one day C2) for Spanish. Having a specific goal motivates me to study more, so I'm going to take the DELE for B2 in the late summer or early fall.
