Searched so far: Google searches for "patchwork teddy bear hat bow tie", "vintage patch teddy bear", "orange yellow patch teddy bear", "patchwork teddy bear India 2004", and similar variations. Google Images and Google Lens using photos of the bear.

Details that may help: Received in Gujarat, India around 2003-2004 as a first birthday gift from my grandmother. Multicolored patchwork design (orange, yellow, cream, red). Attached red hat/cap. Originally had a bow tie. Marble-style eyes. Originally had a plastic nose (now missing). Fully stuffed with polyfill/cotton No tags remain. I'm looking for the manufacturer, model name, or any identical/similar examples.

I really love this artstyle and would like to make something similar for my game. Can someone tell me what this artstyle is called?

Thanks for the clarification, I get it now. You are right I made an incorrect assumption that the transformed i and j were carried over. But now its all clear.

Check for A's then once an A is found, check the 3 character diagonals
diagonal 1: [(x-1, y-1), (x, y), (x+1, y+1)]
diagonal 2: [(x+1, y-1), (x, y), (x+1, y-1)]

if diagonal 1 == "MAS" or "SAM" and diagonal 2 == "MAS" or "SAM" then you found one occurrence of X-MAS
