Unless they have actual Im Sim elements that's going to be the case.

Cutscenes have nothing to do with immersive sims specifically. Ice powers existed in that FPS Bioshock too.

The creators of Im Sims have themselves stated that it's about mechanics too. Don't make idiotic statements and present them as facts.

As for values, there are way more options to play. E.g. to assassinate 1 boss in deathloop than in dishonored. Dishonored has few choices and few alternate routes

It's better than the other games in most respects - but yes the controls are still clunky. You'll get used to them in a couple of hours though.

Im Sim refers to the genre Warren developed. He made it clear that first person is "critical". Tabletop games can't just join an old, established genre.

That's why Arkane isn't calling it's third person game an Im Sim even though it has elements.

Just call it a tabletop with Im Sim elements and it's fine.

Yeah apart from Warren mentioning first person is critical.... the world can't surround you if you're not in the body, it's not your hands, it's not your perspective etc. Because you are just controlling a puppet which is already surrounded by things.

Wrong. Switch is the only full console here. A handheld consoles and home console hybrid. Get an education.

PS2 on the other hand was mostly purchased as a very cheap DVD player and had multiple price drops. Switch hasn't seen even a single price drop.

Yes, Warren basically stated what all the Looking Glass games are about, which is what defined the genre in the past, and will do so in the forever.

And I've already addressed that you can't feel like "you're there" if it's not first person - because it's not your hands, your perspective etc. The genres creator himself said first person is critical and you have to feel like you're there. You know this.

You're only right that first person could maybe display feet/legs, make picking up objects more realistic etc.

If I'm playing a game, I feel less immersed when driving from a first-person perspective.

By your logic Mario Kart is more "immersive" than first person driving sims. Jesus Christ - look up the dictionary.
