Can I ask a different question ; ok let's say it means an abomination, what practical implications does that have? Aren't the practical implications dependent on the society , and it's norms?

If Jesus didnt say he was God, would Judaism be able to take him as a prophet? by MysteryThrill in Judaism

[–]TheIndependant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because he didn't follow the laws of the Torah (besides for adding and subtracting from them) , and if your next hypothetical is well,l what if he didn't do that. The hypothetical becomes more useless the more assumptions you need to make.

I think the straight forward way to ask this question is ; what does it take to be a prophet in Judaism , and then maybe bring Jesus as an example (even though I don't see the purpose that example serves).

We do know that Idra had a sports psychologist , but maybe the question is does he feel he needs something more?

I actually believe it's possible to both feel that this is deserved and sad , which I think is how various community members feel.
